These pants provide great wind protection and adequate water resistance. I prefer these over the standard gamma pants for their comfort and use during warmer weather. They are super light and you barely feel theyre on. The belt enclosure is high quality and the fit is pretty good. Im 6 and the length is slightly long but not unbearable. I probably would have preferred the short inseam but I never see the color and size option in stock. Overall pretty happy with these pants !

Really light, perfect for summer. They do a short leg version which I really appreciate as I have found other pants slightly too long in the past. Slim fit with adjustable cords near the ankles so they can be tapered in. This makes them look fashionable with trainers as well as being ideal for their intended use of walking / hiking. Top product

The Gamma series is the best! While I'm sure some complaints about sizing are valid these are perfect for me. 6ft, 130lbs, athletic build, 28 natural waist. I've now purchased the Alpha Hybrid, Gamma Pant, and Gamma Lightweight all the latest versions 23-24 and I have to say I'm extremely impressed. I've not found a better-fitting pant and I've tried loads of options. Most of the time my issue with other brands is the crotch is far too tight (ie OR Ferrosi) which is both annoying and restricting to ROM. The gusset crotch and range of motion while high-stepping is unrestricted thanks to these being patterned excellently. I've found this to be the case with all gamma models. A light baselayer still works well in these but they are more fitted than the Gamma Pant. The integrated belt is excellent, low profile, and solid. I love how the excess can be stored inside the waistband. Also zero complaints about the button closure. Zippered pockets are great for security and reducing the annoying flare that happens when climbing. I'm glad there is not back pocket, I don't find them useful for carrying anything and the metal zipper always ends up poking you when sitting on hard objects or doing workouts. Arcteryx has nailed the Gamma line for its intended use. The fit, features, and fabrics are all industry-leading IMO.

Arcteryx used to sell a line called Palisade. Originally, these had a shorts, a cropper, and a long variant. My favorite was the cropper. Then the cropper was discontinued. But at least you could shorten the legs of the long pants. Then they changed the fit of the Palisade long pants to make the legs much narrowerand, as a consequence, less comfortable. Then they discontinued the Palisade altogether. The current equivalent is the Gamma. But this suffers by missing one side pocket and a back pocket. It seems that the aim is to be able to say New each season. But that can only imply taking a perfectly good line and making it worse. I hate this.

Another great pair of trousers, not as light weight as my last pair of Gammas. Super comfy for wearing all day and surprisingly durable. Super fast drying and the usual great build quality. Not the most generous of fitting so if you are in between go up.

Ive had these pants for a couple months, theyve climbed long multpitch routes, soaked in the rain and dried remarkably quick, crossed glaciers, stalked black tail deer, and simply been put to the outdoor test. Love them! No rips, no tearing, zippers in tact. Ankle cinch works great for various activities as well. Thank you for the great product!

I purchased these pants for casual hiking and travel. I absolutely love them. They fit and look cool. (ABC always be cool) The only thing I don't like is the sizing. I am 5'10 and 185lbs. I almost always wear a 32x32 pant size. So naturally I purchased the medium regulars. They were extremely too long so I sent them in for a medium short and they fit much better length wise.

I bought and fell in love with my first Gamma LTs before they were revised. They came in S-M-L-XL. Now they are sized by number and the largest size offered is a size 38. I wear my old pairs everyday at the office and am really pleased with the fit, the quality, the look and the built-in belt. I never purchased pants at this price point before, but I immediately saw the value in them. I was heartbroken to see that the new sizing on these stopped at a 38. I can often wear 38 in many brands, and while these still fit me fine around the waist, they are far less roomy through the thighs. Although snug, I could probably get away with wearing them still, if it weren't for the fact that the pockets pucker when open. I hope Arc'teryx reconsiders the sizing in the future and adds a size 40 option

This is my go to pant for summer alpine and rock climbing. The tall sizes are true tall with good ankle coverage. I'm glad the fit has been changed back (from sizing 4-5 years ago) to a more relaxed cuff and now fits better over the ankles too. Love this pant and if the sizing stays the same will contain to buy more pairs year after year.

The pants are too long. Im mostly 30 and this short version is about 31ish. This is also not for people who are thick around the glute area.

I bought this gear 1 month ago and I love its cut and air permeability. Though its a little difficult to clean up after getting stained with oil, besides I will definitely recommend it to you!

I bought this pair to hike in the summer and i think ive made the right choice. Extremely breathable and light even in hot weather. As always Arcteryx doesnt disappoint. I wouldnt suggest this specific pair of pants in the winter if you are a cold sensitive person; for that purpose Gamma Ar is great.

I bought the men's pant because the women's gamma lightweight pant is too short in the regular and too long in the women's long. Why is there such a jump from 29 inches to 34 inches inseam in the women's pant??? That is 5 inches! In a perfect world the women's regular inseam would be 31 inches. I am a fan of both Patagonia and Arcteryx. Patagonia women's regular inseam is 31 inches.

The Gamma SL has been changed to the Gamma Lightweight. I loved the Gamma SL and just wanted a second pair in a different color. The new style is different: not as slim and articulated a fit, it is more plain in its contour. In addition, the material is slightly changed, not as supple, a little more coarse. There no longer are any pull ties at the bottom to snug against one's boots. So disappointed. Bring the real Gamma SL back please!

I just used these in Argentina and had so much frustration over the lack of a back pocket. I don't understand why they would get rid of them... serioulsy... how much weight do you think you're saving with that? If I'm that concerned with saving 1/4 of an ounce there are plenty of other ways to shave weight.

I bought this to replace my Lefroy pants. I chose size 30_Short. It is not short. I like all other features of the pants, so I am having it made short.

I bought these for a backpacking trip at Grand Canyon. Had to take them off in favor of shorts almost immediately because I was too hot. I do not recommend these pants for hot weather hikes where breathability is critical.
