I bought one of these in black and beige, they are the perfect spring/fall jacket for temperatures below 20degrees celsius I wear them everyday aorund town, at home, and in the office. Haven't managed to test it for sports since I think it's already too warm where I live but I can imagine it is a very nice layer to have in the winter. I usually love wearing turtlenecks and this jacket feels just like one with the high collar, with the added benefit that it can be unzipped.

In preparation for next winter, I got the Kyanite LW Jacket, which does not have a hoodie. I prefer ski clothing without hoodies, as these are non functional when consistently wearing a helmet. I shall it use as my mid-layer under my hard shell Arcteryx jacket and over an Oslo first layer. In general the cold does not truly affect me, whereas I ski at least 80 days per season. I most certainly love the return to the past grey blueish coloring as the understatement is much more of interest than dysfunctional fashionable colors.

Same jacket, same label size, very different cut..... especially on the arms...
I have this in 2 others colours also.
All the same label size. But all a different fit.
This most recent colour purchase has very long sleeves and they are very loose fitting around the arm and wrist.
I like them tighter. So ill have to ha e them tailored to suit.

Best fleece I have found so far. Super comfortable, lightweight but still warm. Also I find it look good enough to wear in the office. I'm 6'1, 180lbs, 41' chest and the fit in L is maybe a little bit roomy depending on your likings.

Love this fleece. Very thin. Very comfortable. The material is stretchy and that ends up being very nice for exercising. In terms of sizing, the medium fit me perfectly. I'm 5 10, 175 lbs. And I typically wear most Arcteryx clothing in large. But as others have shared, the large for this piece runs larger than normal.

This is my 6th arc purchase since discovering them 2 months ago. I'm impressed with it. I've worn Pata, Lulu, and other similar brands. This kyanite lt is the softest stretch fabric I've ever felt. I'm currently 155lbs with a slightly wider torso width due to bench pressing and the M fits well. Nice fitted feel but doesn't feel overly restrictive at the shoulder-armpit area. It really is an optimal skin-layer. I usually wear the atom lt over it at night when it's chillier. It also stays up my forearm nicely when I pull the sleeves back. Another thing I like is that I can unzip it from the very top with one hand. I need to press the zipper close to my neck to do so but it still unzips well. For a jacket this thin its nice that I can unzip one-handed. This has become an essential layering piece for me.

I bought this for my husband, who loves his Kyanite Hoody so much, he doesn't want to take it off. But, sometimes a hoody is just not dressed up enough, and that is where the Kyanite LT Jacket is clutch. It allows him to have the comfort and coziness of the Kyanite, but no hood and the right weight to keep on indoors.

Excellent piece. Good in around 50 degrees by itself, layers super easily and looks great. It is extremely overpriced for what it is, but still very nice. Will easy fit under gamma mx, puffers and most midlayers

Bought this a month ago because I already own the Kyanite jacket, and love it, but I also wanted something lighter.
It's extremely comfortable and stretchy, it looks very good and fits perfect on me in small size, which is the same as I have on other Arcteryx jackets.
It keeps me warm when it's cool and it's easy to pack or carry if the temperature changes or the sun pops out. Haven't tried that yet but I suspect it's perfect for layering in colder temperature.

I HAVE 3 OF THESE BECAUSE OF THE MULTI-PURPOSE USE THEY SERVE.
THEY SEEM LIGHT WHEN YOU WANT LIGHT YET REMARKABLY WARM WHEN YOU NEED TO KEEP THE HEAT IN. JUST LOVE THEM.

I also have the same jacket in another color and bought this one as I like the other so much. Reasonably good wind protection as well.

Not as warm as the Kyanite full, but still just as comfortable in a light breeze or chilly office building. 100% love the color and the softness of the material.

Light and trim fleece strikes a great compromise, providing a wide comfort level when worn with multiple layers. I wore the same jacket with temperatures in the teens on an early morning hike and during a vigorous sailboat race on a cold lake with no time to change gear.

I have a blue one I purchased years ago and wanted a different color. Great light cover for fall and spring plus indoors in winter.

Great garnet which I am wearing on it's own but is light enough as an u see garment to an Arc'teryx outer layer or vest. Very lightweight provides warmth and flexibility - hardly notice wearing it! Very sensible price too.

The jacket is extremely comfortable and very lightweight. Size S weighs 273g, size M weighs 283g. The zippers are extremely smooth and made by YKK. Despite the fabric being elastic, there are no wavy zippers (wavy zippers can appear on some full-zip hoodies when the zipper is too long, or when the fabric shrinks). The outer surface is smooth and does not collect lint and does not appear to pill. The two outside pockets have zippers. The jacket is extremely stylish and just looks really great.
The only disappointment I had was that there are no pockets on the inside. On most jackets / hoodies there are inner non-zipper pockets on the inside - these are very easy to add because there is already extra fabric used to make the outer pockets. But not on Kyanite, and I think this is a missed opportunity. If it had the inner pockets, I would literally be completely out of ideas on how to make this product any better. It is that close to perfection.
I did test two colors - "black" and "black sapphire". The black is definitely more versatile and it just works with anything. The black Kyanite is the ultimate universal jacket that you can wear at pretty much any occasion with any wardrobe and it will always look great. The black sapphire is also a wonderful color and when you match it with some white-ish or milk colors, it is incredibly beautiful and looks even better than pure black. But it is not as versatile and doesn't look so great with jeans for example. So, black sapphire looks better (and definitely more stylish) than black when you find a good color match, but there are fewer good color matches. I would have loved to own both but if I can choose only one, it would be the black one.
I attached some photos showing black vs black sapphire, but do note the black sapphire is pretty much impossible to photograph accurately, because it depends on the ambient lighting so much. Regardless, black sapphire is a mixture of black and navy blue and with some additional factor that I cannot identify. You really need to see it in real life and in various lighting conditions including direct sunlight.
One last point I wanted to make - I ordered both jackets in size S. However, one was 10g lighter than the other, and 1.5cm tighter. It was enough of a difference to make one feel too tight while the other one felt perfect. So there are definitely some QC issues because I would not have expected so much variability within a single size class.

I purchased a kyanite jacket in January and for the first time have had an extremely bad experience with Arcteryx and its poor customer service and failure to stand behind its product . I wore the jacket once and had a problem with the zipper not working correctly. When I called customer service I was told there could be no exchange because I took the label off - really? And no supervisor worked with the team. When I wrote to the company via email, they asked for more info which I provided, including proof of purchase and zero response after the first response. I have plenty of Arcterx jackets, but after this experience will switch to another brand . Sad that a brand of this caliber sells itself as the top of line. The big lie. Beware!

This is a great fitting fleece with good breathability in a light weight fabric. Coupled with a medium weight base layer and hard shell, I found it perfectly suited for outdoor activities below 0C. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a mesh backer inside to make donning and doffing easier.
