Excellent shoe. I was one of the very first marketing employees at Timberland when they first introduced this line of boat shoes in 1987. Still great quality. Congrats to the current ownership. Super value.

I'm 57 now & have worn Timberland boat shoes since I was a teenager. They last a really long time even if not forever, I'm on my third pair of them in my lifetime. I always considered them christened once I wore them in a lake, river, or stream, some natural body of water, as I first did on camping trips as a teen. I like the brand, quality, construction, & even their cool tree logo. You can't go wrong with their classic looks. Eschewing the snobbish preppiness of the competing brand makes Timberland the go-to and only choice in a classically-styled boat shoe, as far as I'm concerned. Buy 'em, get 'em wet, & enjoy 'em... and, yeah, if their soaked, their natural leather dye is gonna stain your feet some - don't sweat it, it's harmless, & it'll wash off and fade before you know it! Long live Timberland! Now if they'd just bring back their customization ordering!

Nice shoes, and match any kind of outfit

I've been wearing timberland boat shoes for many years. Each pair normally last me 3-4 years. I only wear them in the summer, which don't last as long in MT. The all leather uppers are high quality and takes a little while to break in. I wear a 9.5 M in most shoes (hunting boots are actually 10.5) but ever since the first pair of these I bought 15-20 years ago, I have always worn a size 9 in these and they fit perfectly. So, in my opinion you need to order at least a 1/2 size smaller.
