I really wanted to love these, I've been wearing Asics for decades, typically the GT's or Kayano's and I chose these because so many styles are out in my size (7.5) in the colorway I prefer (Black/White). I also liked the grippier trail-friendly sole, as I walk my dog once or twice a day for 2-4 miles, along asphalt and dirt trails. However, the whole shoe overall, feels stiff with little cushioning (FOR ME and what I'm used to with the other Asics I love). The upper fabric is thick and looks sturdy, which for a trail shoe would be nice, however, the toe-box feels narrower. The footbed is stiff, and maybe it'd relax a bit after breaking them in, but I just can't deal with shoes that don't feel great as soon as I put them on. For the price, I'd say it's a decent shoe, and I'm also admitting that I've become accustomed to their more expensive, thus more comfortable (again, TO ME) feel and fit. Thankfully Zappo's has the best return policy and customer service - no regrets in trying.

These shoes are amazing! I love the look and feel of them. Theyre comfortable and easy on the feet after wearing them all day.

Disappointed. This was the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. They caused extreme pain to the top of my feet. I have tried to wear them three different times and had pain all three time.

I had the Gel-Venture 7's and loved them. I don't like these as much. The sole is very thick relative to the height of the shoe and they almost feel like they don't have enough "top part"--like they are going to come off my feet.

Started wearing Asics back in the '80's when they specifically made a volleyball shoe. Found Gel Venture and don't even have to try them on anymore... they're always a perfect fit for my narrow foot, and I especially appreciate that my heel doesn't slip out a little bit every time I take a step (yes, there have been athletic shoes that I can take off without untying... no matter how tight I lace them)! I've stayed with Asics all these years but unfortunately, this latest model seems different... This time, I am stepping out of the shoe because the heel is so loose. Had to purchase the Gel-Venture 9 MT instead, which is somewhat restrictive but at least it stays on my foot.

Wanted to love these shoes as they were initially comfortable when trying on. However after walking in them I realized there was zero arch support which did not make my feet happy. Do not like them at all.

Nice fit for me. I needed a wider fit and good arch support. So far so good I walk 3 days out of the week for 3 miles and the shoes feel better good on my feet. Loved the color.

I ordered a half size bigger than I usually wear and they were still too small. Order a full size larger than you normally wear.

I bought these for work and they did not disappoint. I have flat feet and a weak left ankle, and the shoe provides more than enough support and comfort to keep me on my feet through my eight to twelve hour shifts. Even though Ive only worn them for a short period of time, I felt confident enough in the shoe to purchase another pair to alternate for work and Im considering buying a third pair for workouts. Asics is becoming my new favorite brand for work and athletic footwear.

This is the second time I have ordered this shoe! I normally wear an 11 in tennis shoes, so that is the size I first ordered. That one was too short, so I returned those and reordered a half size up thinking that should be plenty big. When I fit them on they didn't feel any bigger. My big toe was still hitting the end. So I have now returned those also. Skeptical of buying a 12, not sure they will be any bigger!

Nice shoes in cool colors, but the shoelaces dont go high enough towards my ankle so the sneakers feel too loose.

i bought them specifically for the tread on the bottom which is good. the color is not what i expected and my feet hate them after about half an hour of constant walking.
the picture shows them more of a white but they are definitely gray

I love my Asics and have bought the same model (or its various revisions) about once a year fir the past 19 years. The only reason I buy a new pair is that I walk a lot and sweat a lot, and after a year it's time to renew them, but they really don't show any wear. Best shoes for walking/light hiking!
