It's hard to pick a star. This is my 2nd pair. Because I like the first I got a few months ago and wanted a different color. The color is way lighter than it appears on the website. (No matter how much I change my screens brightness).

They were advertised as slip resistant but they are not. A waste of my money

I'm a huge Hoka fan and love my Clifton 8's and Mach 5's. Purchased the Challenger 7 because I liked the Gray/Spruce color and it wasn't available in previous mentioned styles. Very disappointed in this shoe. Not comfortable, felt cheap...nothing like I would expect from Hoka. Returned shoes and will try again. Please offer Mach 5 or Clifton in Gray/Spruce color.

I don't know what they've done to change Hokas, but they are not the shoe they were. I wanted to love these! I really tried, but the one time I hit two miles in them my feet were throbbing with pain. They just don't have the comfort they used to have. I'm so bummed because I was so excited to find Hoka brand shoes last year (2022) but ever since they updated all the shoe designs, they are so uncomfortable for me. If you have sensitive feet, these are not it!

I bought a pair of Hoka shoes and loved them so much. I was able to run without my feet hurting. I bought a second pair, and this one said they were wide width and good for trail riding. When they arrived, they felt narrow. I tried to return them, but apparently shopping for shoes online isn't the way to go with you guys because I could not return them. Very disappointing. I honestly don't know if I ever want to purchase shoes from Hoka again because I could not return them.

I use these for work and I work 10 hours on my feet all day and the arch is a little too high for me. I have bought 2 pairs of Arahi 6 and I love those so I think I will stick to those for my feet. Unfortunately I threw away the box and could not return.

The fit of the Hoka Challenger Atr 7 is entirely different than the Challenger Atr 6 (which had been my go to trail shoe). The Atr 7 is extremely narrow across the base of the toe area, with much less outer stabilizing sole. I went up a half, then a whole size but still too narrow. Wide width results in too wide a heel fit. Will move on to a different shoe, sadly. The Atr 7 is not as good as previous models.

As someone with wide feet and orthopedic issues (i had a sesamoid removed in 2015), I have to be careful about the shoes I choose. HOKA faithfully served me for 6 years, and they have now narrowed a bunch of their designs so much that they caused nerve pain on the outside of my foot. I am assuming they were trying to make them look more streamlined; the tradeoff is that they no longer perform their function as a shoe for people with special foot needs! Men's shoes come in wide and extra wide. Women's do not - so I had no choice but to return, with a new injury caused by the new hoka shoes. Read any forum about Hoka, and people are now complaining that they are too narrow - Hoka please please make wider shoe options! I am a loyal customer who would stay for life if you had not changed the designs for the worse! Offer women extra wide - this would be a huge leap in the right direction, and also right a gender inequity in how you are producing shoes.

My go to trail shoe was the Hoka Challenger Atr 6. The Atr 7 is substantially different, less cushioning and extremely narrow in comparison to the 6. tried a going up a half, then whole size to no avail. Returning all and starting the search for a new trail shoe.

This is my 5th pair of Hoka shoes. I work 12.5 hours and I am on my feet for most of that time. I have been so happy with my Hoka purchases in the past because my feet feel great in them even after walking and standing all day. I tried the Challenger shoe because of the color options. I wore them for my long work day and my feet hurt, which is a completely different experience from my other Hoka shoes. While they are stylish, they lack the comfort and support I've come to expect from Hoka.

These shoes gave me a stress fracture in my left leg. I'll admit that I probably ran 75/25 road/trail but I never expected such an injury. Based on the shoe quiz I took, these were recommended so I'm not sure where this went wrong. Will also say even within 1.5 months, the fabric was already ripping. Disappointed that HOKA couldn't do more to correct this. Needed more than a month to ascertain that the shoes were my shin splints' culprit. Lost my business permanently.

I originally fell in love with the design and color. I really wanted to like these shoes, but the overall comfort for me was not good. I love Hoka shoes but this one definitely was not for me.
