They are very comfortable. I have chronic back issues and have to stand for several hours during work. The sneakers truly supports the back and knees.

I originally fell in love with the design and color. I really wanted to like these shoes, but the overall comfort for me was not good. I love Hoka shoes but this one definitely was not for me.

Expensive shoes. Cheap quality. Not that comfortable

These tall pull tabs that flare away from the achilles that Hoka have been using are amazing, very accommodating to sensitive tendons and taller orthotic insoles. The plush ankle collar and tongue are very comfortable. The midsole design with high side rails strongly resists outward ankle roll and moderately resists inward ankle roll. Found the midsole compound to be more on the dense side and could use some flex grooves under the forefoot and hollowing out under the heel like the Speedgoat 5 and Mafate Speed 4. Traction and cushion are improved compared to the Challenger 6. Overall a stylish middle of the road shoe, I find myself using it casually around town mostly - still preferring the absolute monster truck feel of the Stinson 6's for long runs on both road and trail.

Instantly comfortable! Sizing felt a bit bigger than other styles I own, but thicker socks solved that issue.

The challenger 7 is great. I have the wide version and it's finally wide enough unlike version 6 and also has better cushioning. Great on roads and trails.

The Challenger ATR 5 was the best - nice round toe box, great cushy support, perfect lugs for road & dirt. The ATR 6 was too narrow and lost it's cushioned feeling underfoot. This ATR 7 returns the rounder toe (tho still some pointy taper), lots of bouncy cushion, great lugs. BUT, there is a very noticeable hard spot at the inside/back arch area - hits right at the inside of the heel front, where the heel goes into the arch. If it was less aggressive, it would feel like a natural stability part of the shoe. But I couldn't ignore it when trying to walk for even a couple of minutes. Otherwise, I would have kept them. I usually wear a Size 7 Wide in Hokas, so that's what I ordered - but these felt almost a total half size too long.

I SOOOOO wanted these shoes to fit. They are so gorgeous! It's wonderful to have color options for wide shoes. I am new to the Hoka brand. I bought two pairs and these were noticeably more narrow than the Speedgoat model so I had to return them.
I'd also recommend:

Wonderful fit, super comfortable and supportive. Enough tread to go down the dirt, but doesn't pick up gravel and toss it onto my legs.

After desperately trying to make the shoe work, I can't get my foot to stay in. I cinched the laces, put thick insoles in but no luck. They're huge but I thought once I put thick socks, insoles, better laces they'd work but nope. So then I compared it to my size 6 boots, these hoka are about the same size and over a size bigger than my size 5 new balance which are slightly larger than the new balance of yester year. Shoes keep getting bigger and people who don't know their real shoe size are reviewing these as true to size and some are saying they're a little bit small. My feet feel like an elephant. Even with thick winter socks my feet are falling out. The depth of the shoe is much more shallow than the new balance fuel cell which keep you heel snug and in place. Although they don't have great arch support for people who do have high arches you can get insoles and your foot will stay in place.

Its half a tiny bit larger than the average size 5. Most New Balance shoes are a teeny bit smaller in width and length. My feet are a perfect size five as measured by a podiatrist. A lot of people who complain about sizing don't actually know their true size so the reviews are a bit inaccurate. Because I have high arches my heels slip out of this model even when I add and extra loop and cinch the laces. I'm so disappointed. This style is bomb and perfect for wide feet. It has plenty of room for nice insoles too. The traction is amazing. I usually go on urban walks and sometimes my New Balance walking shoes slip...and I have vertigo so the wide traction of these shoes are perfect. Why must my life be like this....I'm so depressed!

I currently own two pairs of Hoka sneakers. One pair I use for trail running and walking, and the other for both street and trails. Love both.

She purchased another pair of Hokas while I was waiting to give her these for Christmas. She loved them and she said that they fit perfectly. Thanks!
