Love these shoes. I couldn’t imagine wearing anything but Hokas to work!

I bought these for a trip to Mexico where I knew I'd be hiking around ruins and through jungle paths but started by walking my dog around the neighborhood in them. These were perfect! Firstly, they required no breaking in; they were comfortable and cushy right out of the box. They fit like a charm; I'm usually an 8 but some brands have tight sizing. That's not the case here! I have an average width foot and these were comfy in the toe box but snug enough to feel secure. Although I only walked in these, they have excellent grip for uneven terrain and wet conditions. The breathability is also great as I was walking in hot, humid environments but my feet never felt too damp or hot. This is also the first pair of sneakers I've owned that doesn't require double knotting! The laces are secure with a single tie. Finally, they got really dirty on my last excursion but I popped them in the washer on cold with some rags and let them Air dry. They look good as new! These are pricier than many shoes but you actually get what you pay for. I'll be buying Hokas again!

Great support for my high arches and low back pain from lumbar spine degeneration. Yes, I'm 55 years old sadly. Ha! Just bought the Gore Tex version at Shoe Mill on sale for golfing. Excellent support and waterproof! Love Hoka, just wish there MORE COLOR OPTIONS!

My shoe size is typically US7.5, EU38. In running shoes, I always size up a half to a US8, EU38.5. I ignored the Hoka sizing chart because it likens a US6.5 to an EU 38 - evidently Hoka thinks their shoes run very large. I went ahead and ordered a US7.5 to see how it would fit, knowing Zappos would let me exchange it if the size was off. The US7.5 fits like a US8, about a half size larger than normal. This is perfect for me as a runner who prefers a little extra room in the toe box. I also ordered the wide width based on some review comments and I am happy I did - I think the standard width would have been tight for my high arch.

I was a little disappointed in the shoes this time. The color design on the toes were different from each other; one shoe had longer shoe laces than the other. Wondered if they were from different sets.

I ordered two different pair of Hokas. I have work both styles before. I have worn the same size before. This pair left over an inch of extra room in the toe of the shoe. My foot doesn't feel stable and supported as it slides back and forth in the shoe.
The other pair I ordered was the Speedgoat 6 and they fit like a glove. I am perfectly happy with them.
The shoe is nice, and I'm sure it would be comfortable if it fit correctly. This is why I'm giving 4 stars.

My first Challenger was the ATR 4. It has been my favorite. This model, like the other others that came after ATR4, are narrower and a little bit less comfortable on my feet. I worry about ordering a wide width because I think it will be too loose in my heel cup.

It is a very comfortable shoe but the fit was a little tight for me on the top where the laces start due to my high arch, I exchanged it for a 0.5 size up to give myself a little extra room.

Hoka never disappoints. These Challengers are great. For me, they're not as comfortable as the Clifton 9, but they are very comfortable.

Gorgeous looking shoe but a 7.5 felt a tad too large, possibly because they tent to push your foot forward until toe is almost touching shoe (making them feel too large.) Comfortable sole but strange forward push.

Not as comfortable as the previous pair of Hoka trail runners I had but was able to wear them all summer without any major problems. Think the toe box feels a bit crowded.

Not enough toe box room. Depth & width. Trying other Hoka options, I’ve had great luck with Bondi style.

I loved my HOKA Challenger 6 trail running shoes, but the soles wore down in less than a year. They fit great and are the right size. My toes never hurt after going down steep hills. On any trail they felt very sturdy and did not slip, until the outer sole broke down

These definitely have a wide toe box. However, when I tried a different Hoka, I found the shoe fit better. It pays to try the different styles and sizes…I probably went through 6-8 before finding one that fit well. THANK YOU FOR MAKING SHOES IN A WIDE WIDTH!

This is my third pair of HOKAs and my favorite, look and fit-wise. Unfortunately, within a few weeks there were holes worn into the inner uppers, which has never happened with any pair of shoes I have owned. I will be writing for a warranty replacement or refund.

I have been wearing Hoka Challengers for years for hiking, and loved them. Usually wore them for about 600mi, then bought a new pair. This year, I noticed I started slipping more and realized that the pads on my new Challenger 7 were almost completely gone after about 250 mi. Terrain about the same as in previous years. The sole was compressed, and my feet started hurting during the day. It seems whatever changes were made to the new version of challenger only serve to make them last less. For the price I expect a shoe that lasts for a longer.

I was disappointed when I tried these on. From what I heard they were supposed to be like stepping into a cloud. Not so. Very hard on my feet. Loved the colors but not the style.
I will try another type of Hoka.

They are ok. Didn't last as long as I expected and are slippery when walking on wet grass. I don't think I would buy these again!

I was bummed that they changed the upper and even in a wide width is not wide enough for me. All the other versions were great.

Used everyday - normal walking. Like the way Brooks hugs my heels. Find HOKA'S to cumbersome. I'm afraid I'm gonna trip over my own feet.

Not all Hoka fit the same. This particular style, Challenger, fits much tighter and with less arch support than the Clifton.

These shoes lasted 6 months before the tread started coming off. The insides are also wearing out.

I have been a Challenger wearer for several years but the changes to this style I'm not liking. One less hole for lacing, toe not as rounded, seem like less material over the arch/tongue area and don't like the new back at all. The older version I felt the shoe was secure around the heel, now feel as though the heel is loose. Weight & quality are great and love the new colors you're bringing in.
