I really like the look of these shoesthey're stylish and well-made. However, my left shoe doesn't feel as comfortable as the right one. I've never had an issue with shoes fitting differently on each foot before, so I'm not sure if it's the shoe or just my foot. I'm leaning toward keeping them because I love the design, but I'm still a bit on the fence considering the price.

I have narrow feet and step right out of wide shoes. But Hoka stays on. They also are comfortable, even after long walks vacationing. The only drawback, the price. Too steep.

They are pretty comfortable. Little hard to get used to walking n them but I did notice after a day of running errands my legs didn't hurt like they normally would. I don't like the gray I thought they were more of a silver

The shoes were great but I ordered a regular width just to check them out. They were too tight so I sent them back and ordered a different pair in wide width

This model is comfortable right out of the box, but not as plush cushioned as my other pair, of the Clifton line. I love the color choices and wash ability. I'll continue to buy HOKA shoes as I feel they offer the best comfort for the money.

This is my fourth pair of Hokas, but my first in the Challenger line, as I can no longer get the Zinal line. They're good, pretty comparable, but with a larger and wider sole. Which is weird because I seem to be experiencing more heel slip, but I'm hoping that will go away as they get a bit broken in. As another reviewer commented, there's not a lot of insole cushioning and pretty low arch support despite the mega-thick sole, so I wouldn't choose them for a day of just standing.
One thing to be aware of is that they seem to run very big. I typically wear an 8.5, but had to order down to an 8. Even the 8 in the Challenger was still longer than my old Zinal 8.5! (I also tried a full size down - 7.5 - but that seemed too snug.)

I bought this shoe for trail walking, however I have only walked around the neighborhood in them so fat. They are a true 9.5 fit. They fit well, but are a tad stiff. I like that they have lots of traction on the soles so I won't slip on loose gravel and dirt on my hiking paths.

This is my second pair of Challenger 7. The shoes fit well, are size-accurate, light weight and comfortable.
Downsides a pricey sneaker.

I'm in love with these shoes. Not only do they give me an extra 2 inches in height but they roll with my walk. They breathe well and are light weight. My only complaint is the laces are flat and don't pull easily to tie.

(Green) They are super cute and go with so any colors. Very comfortable except for one part - the toe box is too slender for my feet. I tend to have narrower feet but not narrow enough to buy narrow shoes. So if your feet are normal to wide, these may not work for you.. I kept wearing them around the house hoping they would settle down but no luck. I reluctantly returned them. Length was true to size. Width was also true to size until it got up to the toe box - then just a smidge too skinny - the kind of skinny that makes your toes hurt.

I have bought the Hoka Clifton twice. Bought the Challenger ATR 7 because of the color. The shoe is nowhere nearly as cushy as the Clifton, so I must admit I prefer the Clifton. I feel awkward walking in the Challenger. To be fair- I had to get accustomed to the former, as you are walking on clouds. This shoe just felt cheaper to me.

I just started wearing these shoes and noticed immediately a harder sole inside the shoe. They are not as cushioned as the Clifton and I am hoping that upon more wear time, that they will soften and my feet will acclimate.

Too long. I always wear a 9 Wide and my heels slip out of these. I will need to exchange them for a smaller size.

I needed a sneaker to help ease the pain from a tailor's bunion, along with some added cushioning for the bottoms of my feet during walks and light jogs. I took the Hoka quiz and it pointed me to this sneaker. So far I've done several walks on both pavement and soft, sometimes muddy trail paths. My feet are comfortable and the side of my foot is not cramped, providing room for my aching bunion. As an added bonus, my footing on the spring trails in northern Maine has been stable with the grips of the shoe bottoms!

Love the shoe, fits perfect, but material around toe box is irritating/hurts small toe. it seems to be associated with the toe design around the front of the shoe. Maybe they used a stiffer interfacing for that design area, but it will hit my small toe just right to cause pain unexpectedly, but so far has not caused a blister or sore . I checked my other hoka shoes and they don't seem to have this stiff material there. Am wearing everyday to help break in but in no way would wear these out of the box for a hike.

I stand by my first review...
BUT I'M NOT HAPPY I WAS CHARGED $30.00 more, basically a penalty for needing a wide size. Not Nice!

I like the shoe itself. It's a good, comfortable, solid shoe, however, it doesn't seem to be as wide as the wide sized Clifton 9 or Bondi 8 that I usually buy. I wanted to try these because they were less expensive than those shoes. I didn't think the "wide" part would be the issue. I thought it might be the support, however, the support of the shoe is great. I will buy them again.
