This past weekend, I participated in an endurance event where the task was to hike 29,029 feet within 36 hours. After training for months mostly on the road and treadmill in my regular comfy Brooks road running shoes, I decided I'd just wear those for the event since we were told the terrain wasn't too technical. A few days before the event, I grabbed these Hoka Challengers as a "backup" in case I needed more of a trail shoe. I switched to these about 8 hours into the event. The road shoes were fine, but thought it may save my legs and feet if my shoes had some more traction. These Challengers were amazing pretty much right out of the box-no prior break-in on a trail. I only switched the last hours of the event because it was raining/snowing and I wanted my waterproof shoes. The terrain I was on had rocks, roots, wooden stairs, some steep inclines, and some more gradual. These performed great across them all! SO glad I decided to give them a shot.

Great shoe, so worth it. I have plantar fasciitis and I'm on my feet all day, do I need comfort and support. Would love to see more colors incorporated!!!!

Most comfortable shoes I own

The shoes are very comfortable and almost feel bouncy. Wearing the shoes definitely put a spring in my step. I wore the shoes around the house for a few hours, but then went for a walk. No breaking in was required.

Good fit, lightweight trail running shoe

The most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. This is the first time wearing this brand. I work in the healthcare field and I am on my feet 13-14 hours per day.

I use these shoes for work. My feet aren't as tired when I've worked all day walking on concrete floors.

My mother-in-law needed new shoes for her physical therapy. Realized we wore the same size, put her into my shoes and she liked them. Ordered her a pair, and she loves them (and so does her physical therapist).

Great comfortable fit

I'm a surgical nurse and am always on the hunt for a shoe that provides support to my ankles, knees and hips while keeping my legs feeling energized. Well I found that in this CHALLENGER 7! I have a moderate supination and my feet don't feel like they want to " fall off " the side of the shoe. I bought a wide and it accommodates my toe spread well.
