Great fit. My heel didn't raise up like my other shoes did. This sneaker has a higher piece of material to support that at the heel. The first day I wore them I was delighted. My feet, knees and back didn't feel pain or stressed. I had more energy to keep moving. I broke the top of my foot a while back so I still have to be careful. These sneakers have great impact support and are soft enough for my fragile foot.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance and would like to try Kuru

I work at a pharmacy and I'm always on my feet and walking everywhere. These are so comfortable and perfect for being on my feet all day. It doesn't hurt after my shifts.

Since I started wearing these sneakers, I wear nothing else. I have plantars fasciitis and the cushion & support help tremendously. I am a fast walker not a runner, so the Clifton 9 is perfect.

I have arthritis in my feet and ankles so I need a special shoe. I have been wearing Z-Coils for years because my feet are so bad. I love them - BUT - I have finally found another shoe that works for my feet! I can go on walks and hikes and do all my daily stuff with these. They are very comfortable. These shoes are great; I never want to take them off! I will definitely be buying more!
By the way, I have already recommended these to people and I've only had them a couple of weeks.

I don't ever buy clothing online but my doctor recommended these shoes along with super feet inserts. So I contacted the online support chat and somebody helped me pick out the right size! I was super nervous they weren't going to fit but they did, they fit so good on my feet and they feel great! Best support shoe!

This is the second pair of Hoka Clifton 9's I have ordered and worn. I can't feel any difference between each pair. Some wearers write that the longer tongue in this second pair bothers them; I don't even notice it. The toe box is very roomy, I love the lavender and pale blue color, I wear my shoes with orthotics due to previous foot surgery, there is plenty of room for the orthotics. I am not a runner as a Senior but I am a walker and these are just right. When this pair wears out, I will order them again.

It was so difficult finding a nice dark blue tennis shoe. Let alone a wide pair. These are so comfy and supportive, so glad I found them.

This is my second pair of Hoka Clifton 9. My friend has been wearing Hokas for a while now and she suggested I try them. I walk 5 miles , 6 days a week and I must say these are the best walking shoe I have ever had and I have gone through several brands! The only thing is that the surface I walk on has eaten up the bottom of the shoe. But , I'm not complaining because they feel so good on my feet, I am now spoiled to them !

This was my first pair of "real" running shoes after being fitted at a Fleet Feet store and I won't go back! The cushion and roll through the sole has been so helpful in my form and running softer.

I initially ordered my usual size of 8.5 but they were too big. Ordered half size smaller and the 8 fit perfectly. Very excited to go running in them. They are so comfortable, lightweight, supportive and cushiony.

When I used to used to run cross country, mizuno's & ASICS were my choice. But recently I've heard more about HOKA's, so I decided to try them out. The worst feeling is sore feet, shin splits, & pain in general. These shoes feel AMAZING & I don't get tired. They are worth the investment.
