I have had 4 major back surgeries and still suffer from daily agonizing pain. I have tried every shoe on the market and other than my trusted New Balance have never worn another, until now. My husband has them and gave me a gift certificate for a new pair and wow, simply wow! I am In love with this shoe, so, so lightweight and I literally feel like I'm walking on air, and I'm super excited. The fun colors do make it hard to make a decision, but you have a true blue client from here forward, so thank you.

I am 17 years old and started to work in an old general store where my job constantly has me on my feet. I started to work in April 2024 and by May, I had very painful feet. After consulting with several people who had foot problems, I decided to buy Hoka shoes on May 6. I purchased that first pair of Hoka Clifton 9 (which Hoka's website quiz recommended) and by August (3 months later) they had started to come apart on the soles. The soles had a pattern on the bottom, which was starting to peel off, causing me to trip at work. Thinking that it was a manufacturer's era, I called Hoka and they assured me that it was just that pair of shoes and they would start a refund, which would be returned in approximately 2 weeks. I started the refund on August 8,2024 and the refund finally came through on September 17,2024. More than a couple weeks late. Also on August 8, I ordered another pair of the Clifton 9's and received them August 13. I wore the shoes four days a week for approximately 7 hours every day. Today, September 18, I tripped again at work, and realized the soles were doing the same thing again. As soon as I got home from work, I called Hoka and spoke to a nice representative who immediately started the refund. After I asked her if this was a common occurrence at Hoka, she replied that this was a "defective pair". When I reminded her, this was the second pair in a row to fall apart, she said that the shoes should only last from 6 months to a year and that they had a warranty. And then recommended that I get another type of Hoka shoe.

I have extremely hypermobile feet that constantly cause me pain. Even though I am young, due to hEDS I have developed arthritis in my feet and had also randomly suffered a stress fracture due to joint instability. After healing, I needed extra support, and my podiatrist recommended these. They are the perfect orthopedic shoe because they aren't hideous, and they are complete game changers in terms of support and comfort. They are cushioned and extremely comfortable. I will admit I did have to switch out the insoles for others for additional support, but that's because I have pretty significant issues. For most people with foot pain, these alone are going to be IT. I can walk all day now with minimal discomfort, which is a night and day difference for me.

I can work a 12 hour shift on my feet the entire time and my feet do not hurt after my shift!

I purchased these shoes on a recommendation from a friend. We both are avid walkers and hikers. They are the most comfortable shoes ive put on my feet,.

I'm a 58yo pharmacist that had to stand on my feet all day at work for years. My feet were hurting all the time and my podiatrist recommended I try Hokas. I tried the Clifton, and my feet instantly improved! That was about 6 years ago, and I've never looked back. I buy a new pair every year and turn my old pair into yard shoes. I'm not the typical athlete that you see on their advertising, but I am able to walk 2 miles a day comfortably, despite my arthritis. I highly recommend these shoes! They have truly saved my feet!

These shoes are unbelievably comfortable and you literally do not have to 'break them in'. These shoes make me feel like I'm walking or running on dense, supportive marshmallows. I highly recommend them!

These should be called Cloud 9s as opposed to Clifton 9s! I haven't been this impressed with a shoe in a very long time! I am an avid gym rat and I also love outdoor walks. This shoe feels like I'm walking on a cloud!

I use my Hokas to take my daily walk. They are supportive and comfortable. I loved the first pair so much I bought another pair.

I have bought this shoe many times before but this pair is sooo uncomfortable. Not wide enough; it hurts my left foot terribly and does not seem to have any cushioning in it.

The CLIFTON 9 has no resemblance to the wonderful 7 and 8! So disappointed in a shoe that doesn't fit anything like its predecessor! Tight to box, exacerbated duck bill on the back that hazardously catches on stairs and too much sole spreading out the sides. Sooo disappointing.!

I purchased the shoe on April 16th, 2024. I wear the shoes as a teacher. I don't go on running or do any hiking. I just wear them at school, and mostly indoors. However, the bottom outsole is already peeled off, and I had to super glue them to prevent them from further peeling off. My friend recommended this brand because it supposed to last long, but I am very disappointed with the brand, and I probably won't pay for this much money to have shoes that can only last 5 month.

to say I'm addicted to HOKA is an understatement. i've spent a decade looking for shoes that make my feet happy. folks don't understand when your in pain how much that can affect your attitude. these shoes have done as much for my mental health as they have for my physical health. love my HOKAS

I love my Hokas! They are truly the most comfortable shoes I've ever had. And very stylish too!

I love these shoes! I have pretty bad feet and thought I was going to have to stop walking everyday, until I tried this pair of Hoka's. If you're not sure and on the fence try them they are amazing.

These sneakers are so comfortable. They offer great support. I use them for everyday walking and working out. Love the color and design. I would buy these again.

I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I've been so pleased with the Clifton 9s that I felt I needed to express it. I am working to become more active and my old shoes had no support. When I'd go on longer walks, I'd find my back and legs aching and I knew there needed to be a better solution. I decided to search Reddit to get some ideas of good shoe brands and so many people recommended Hoka. I decided to take a chance and I'm so happy with how it turned out. Now, the shoe comes tight since it's new and very padded it did take me a second to break it in. I found stretching the shoe when I wasn't wearing it helped a lot. I often compare how I walk in this shoe to bouncing on a trampoline. It is so supportive and I'm able to do the activities I love without joint pain.

Buyer Beware:do not buy Clifton 9 in white, they got dirty with minimal wear, barely worn (mostly inside for work), and I could not get them clean with Hoka instructions. I should have sealed with a waterproof shoe spray. I love Hoka sneakers but gave this model a rating of 2 because of fabric. Hoka should sell with instructions to waterproof before use.

I thought they were overpriced and overrated but my boss swears by them and after trying them at work where I'm on my feet all day I am pleasantly surprised. They are so comfortable. And since I've been wearing them (about 2 weeks now) right away my lower back pain has stopped! That in itself makes them worth it. I will be ordering another pair for walking. I even offered to buy a pair for my daughter and son in law because they are on their feet all day and are always complaining about their feet hurting. I am a believer

Solid sole. Comfortable and stable. Only wish it had more cushion.
