The standout feature of HOKA shoes is undoubtedly their superior cushioning. The thick EVA midsole provides a soft, cloud-like feel underfoot without compromising stability. This makes them ideal for long-distance runners, people with joint issues, or anyone looking for all-day comfort. Despite the maximal cushioning, HOKA shoes are surprisingly lightweight, reducing fatigue over extended periods.

This is my favorite fit of the group. My best size is 8.5w (for toe room) but for any 'fun' colors, I have to buy a 9. Please make more colors in women's wide!!

I bought my Clifton 9s in May of 2024 and wore them for 35-40 minutes of daily treadmill running only during the cold months (May + October - January in this case). I never wore them otherwise, indoors or out. In January, the treads came unglued in the middle of a run and started flapping around. I contacted Hoka, sent in photos, and initiated a warranty claim. About a week later the shoes were returned to me with a note indicating they were out of warranty. Since it was within the 1-year warranty period, I called to question this decision and was told the treads coming unglued after a few months is considered normal wear and tear, thus not covered by warranty. I have run in a lot of shoes over the years and none of them (trail shoes, street shoes, treadmill shoes) have had a problem like this. Obviously, that was my last pair of Hoka shoes. Buyer beware.

Fits my feet really well with great arch support. Very comfortable when walking long distances. Very great quality and seems like a shoe that will last many years. Only downside is that the left shoe feels a bit narrow compared to the right.

I bought these cuties to replace a 1.5 year old pair. I love the color. I dinged a star because they are not nearly as cloud-like as my originals. Guess they changed somehthing?

Basically, it is comfortable for the feet. It is also helpful when running outside or exercising in the gym.

My first ever pair of Hoka shoes was a Clifton 8 which I loved. When they wore out I got a pair of Clifton 9. I wore these shoes to work daily. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I had hopes that the Clifton 9 was as good as the 8. I am on my feet for 8 hours a day and these shoes were great. However, 6 months after I got them the soles of the shoes started falling apart, to the point where I could no longer wear them. I was very disappointed that these expensive shoes fell apart so quickly. This review is very late. I got my Clifton 9's in December 2023 and by June 2024 they were no good. I hope other people had better luck with these than I did.

This was my second pair of Hoka but my first pair of the Clifton9. I am not really a fan. They are tight in the toe area as well as tight on the upper foot. When walking I get Shin Splints with these shoes. They are not comfortable when standing for longer than an hour. I got these for my stand up desk at work and for my walks.
The style and look are good. They are easy to put on. I do like the heal I don't think I will buy this brand again however.
So I can only give 3 stars

Don't buy these shoes. I will never buy another pair of Hokas again!!I I bought these shoes in September 2024 by December. The souls were starting to click and peel off. I reached out to the company jumped through all the hoops of the warranty and sent the shoes back and they returned them to me saying they were out of warranty when I contacted the company they were saying it is normal wear and tear. I'm sorry but soul is coming off of shoes is not normal. Wear and tear after four months, if it is a high-quality shoe and as much as you pay for these, they should be high-quality.
Totally done with hocus they have lost a good customer.

This product gave me pain in calves and heel after wearing it for just one day. It could be because the heel area is too snug fit on my leg whereas the toe area is too broad and loose. Tried all sizes and doesnt help me be comfortable in it. Custom insoles might help i guess but im out on this brand

Ok so not a lot of reviews on here comparing the two shoes, but from my experience, the Clifton 9 is very nicely cushioned but not early as squishy as the Nike Invincibles. I think if I were to move up in the Hoka cushioning levels to the Bondi (which I love wearing at work where I walk around a lot), that would be too clunky and squishy for my liking. I primarily use the Clifton for long road runs and b/c I'm really loving the colorway I purchased, I also use it on the treadmill for easy/moderate runs. For size comparison, in the Clifton 9 I wear an 8, for the Nike Invincibles a 9. The Clifton also has a slightly roomier feel so I think that would work better for those with wider or thicker feet :)

I bought the Clifton 9 almost 2 yrs ago. They had to be replaced twice due to the soles splitting and falling apart after 3-4 months. I work in a hospital and only walk on flat surfaces. I sit alot of the time. There should be no reason why the tread wears like that.
I am now returning the THIRD pair due to the same issue after 3 1/2 months. The tread came unglued and they will 'evaluate' to see if I can get a replacement. They would NOT refund my money. Never again!!!

This shoe was worn 2 times a week in a clean environment. The glue failed on the bottom of the shoe, holding the bottom pads on. The company failed to do anything to resolve the issue. They claimed normal wear and tear, but they did not test the glue, fix them, or give reasoning for the declination of repair. We purchased 2 pairs, and the other was worn 3-4 days a week and didn't fail. Do not buy from them, they do back up their craftsmanship.
