It took a few days of using these to know if they were going to work. I had to get used to a wider toe box and lower heel height. Now I’m used to them and glad I kept them.

I'm am using the product to deal with a arch problem in my left foot and my orthopedic doctor recommended this shoe and a few others. Many of my friends hike with HOKA's so I'm giving it a try - so far, the shoes are great! Next I would go with a wider width, but these are working fine.

I walk up to 10 K a day and rely on good footwear to keep my feet in good condition. I like the sneakers very much. They are light weight and sized well. I do find them to be a little pricy compared to New Balance which has always been my go to footwear. I walk outside and find they have a good grip that keeps me from sliding or slipping when conditions are damp etc.

They’re fairly comfortable, but with almost too much cushion. They sometimes make me feel a little almost wobbly when I’m working out at the gym. I have low arches so that could be a part of it, but I don’t feel this way when wearing my other (Brooks ghost) shoes. I think I prefer the Brooks, but am keeping these.

These are the most comfortable sneakers I have ever had, however I had to return them because they were too large. I ordered my normal sneaker size and they were too big. They looked like flippers on my feet. I suggest ordering your true shoe size and don't size up for sneakers.

I would have given these a 5 star but I was disappointed about the color of the sole. I just hate white soles, but I also don't like bright colored ones either. . The soles on these ones appeared gray on the picture so I thought they would be perfect, they are however an off white. Just not what I expected.

I've been wearing these shoes with an orthotic to even out a slight discrepancy in leg length. They are comfortable and offer the support I need , due to a weak ankle! I wanted to buy an all navy shoe shoe w no logos or other colors but couldn't find any.

I was so excited to get this shoe and LOVED the black one with yellow and rainbow accents. Unfortunately, I found it too narrow in the toe box. They seem to carry the wide in only a few colors (oddly- the less lovely ones). I chose this pink color as the least unattractive Wide option. It is still just a tinsy snug on the outside of the front of my foot, but seems to be loosening enough with wear that it won't be uncomfortable. I typically wear Keen or Naot and have never worn wide. The cushion on the shoes is great. I work at a standing desk (with treadmill) and can stand and walk comfortably all day.
I'd also recommend:
Keen. Naot

I have been wearing the Cliftons since the first model for running- so this makes 9 years for me. I also had the Evelon's that they discontinued so I am now strictly a Clifton wearer. I have always loved them and never had any issue with the feel. I bought the 9's and they have a stiffer feel to them- not as responsive as the previous models. I don't know why shoe companies have to mess with perfection. Go back to the 6-7 or 8. I will have to say shipping to where I am was fast. I am on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, it usually takes weeks to not months to get items over here but I received my new Cliftons in a week!! Thank you Hoka my 8's could not make it much loner!!

I really wanted to like these shoes, because the style/color is awesome! However, they were very uncomfortable, especially compared to my Asics, so I had to return them.

I stand still for my job and these did NOT do the job. My feet really hurt after a 4 hour shift of standing still..

Overall I have been liking the shoes and I think they have helped while walking not to experience as much pain in my knee. That being said I don't think I will be buying another pair any time soon because the price seems like a lot for a pair of sneakers

This shoe was recommended to me by an orthopedist because I damaged the capsule at the base of my second toe and he said stiff soles would help it heal. Unfortunately, I have a bunion that makes my foot skew to one side and with the shape of these shoes, about half the toe box is empty and my toes are scrunched. My foot is narrow and since these are made for men and women, so the medium width is a little loose in the heal and I think a wide would be worse. I'm returning them.

To be honest I bought the wrong shoe. I had a pair of black Rincon that I haven't wear in a while. Since I have bought many Clifton through the years, I ordered the Clifton, instead of the Rincon. The Clifton is more bulky. I ran with it and it was on the heavy side. I thought of returning it, but keeping it. I don't like this black color, is more like a gray. If you are buying to use for walk or hang out, it doesn't look that great with regular clothes. I'm keeping it and see how it goes with running. The support is very good. If you don't care about colors, you would like it, but it's a very ugly shoe. I don't care about that when I used to race, now I do, specially since I used it to for everyday used, the Boston way. You don't need to size up for extra space for running. I wear a thick insole (2 inside a matter of fact) and it's just fine. The Rincon on the other hand had a beautiful black exterior & white sole shoe, and I hope that Hoka brings back the true black color for the Clifton. It just looks tacky, a gray passing as a black color with enormous letters of HOKA. There is black mixed with the gray.

Was recommended for plantar fasciitis. Coupled with acupuncture the pain is gone. Great shoe. Just wish all running/walking shoe designers could work on a more durable heel ... especially outside back edge. Was an Asics believer for decades of running until the toe box was changed, now definitely Hokas are best for me.

I originally bought these because I got a new job where i'm standing for 8 hours and wanted something supportive. The first time I wore them for work my arches were killing me (I have low arches). I decided to give them another chance before returning them thinking I needed to get used to them and I was right. After about 3 days of wearing them they have gotten better but still have slight arch pain. Then I decided to wear them to the gym here I normally walk on the treadmill at an incline for 45 minutes. Absolutely loved wearing them to the gym. It feels like i'm walking on a cloud. These are my new gym shoes, WAY better than using them for standing. NO PAIN after walking! Highly recommend using for gym/ walking shoes!!

I love these shoes and have purchased 3+ pairs. They're cute and comfortable and super supportive. I love that they have a wide option. Improvements/cons - I wish the wide shoes had more color options - I've slipped multiple times in these after wearing them for 6 months. They lose all traction very quickly and are dangerous to wear on wet surfaces and slick substances (like mud or wet grass)

I'm a walker - a senior citizen - these shoes are so comfortable - honestly & they propel you forward - makes it a great walking shoe! These are just wide enough without having to wear a wide width. I bought 2 pair of the Clifton 9 - had to have another color - the colors are so fun! Keep the bright colors coming. I surprised my husband with a pair on his birthday. I was telling him how comfortable mine were & tried to get him to get a pair but he declined. So, when he opened the box on his birthday - he was ho hum until he tried them on & wore them - then he got it ! He wears them all the time now.

I purchased Womens Clifton 9. First thing that I like is that the tongue stays in place! I think it's the first time and I've had many different brands of shoes. Second they are roomy and have good support and cushion. I would like to have a little more in the heel. I suffer from knee and heel pain that's why I purchased this shoe. I hope they last because most other brands do not. I stand a lot and I'm 47 years old so I'll pay the price if the shoe is worth it. So far I haven't had as much knee and heel pain. I also like the looks of the Clifton, they have a lot of support in the middle of the shoe. There is enough room to add an extra insole if you need it.
