lightweight shoe with excellent traction and padding. Best Hoka ever for beach running/walking, and off pavement anything

Usually more of a speedgoat fan but have had Challenger twice before so sorta go back and forth. Both are superb shoes.

Great fit and super comfortable. The tread is almost like a trail shoe, works great for helping on the kiddo's baseball field

6'2" 200lb runner with a bad left foot from a middle toe amputation accident. This shoe is allowing me run trails again! I have a 2nd pair for walking. My left foot injury had me trying several different shoes. I've been wearing other Hoka's for running before the injury for several year. Hoka's have helped with knee pain as well.

Was referred by a co-worker on Hoka shoes. Have to say best, most breathable, comfortable shoe ever! I'll probably only by Hoka from now on!

I love all shoes Bondi. But I have discovered the Clifton and Bondi's are the best fit for my feet. I loved the color of this shoe and really wanted it to be perfect like my others but it ran a little narrow for my foot. I probably should have ordered a wide. Hoka has the absolute best return policy though and they make it very easy to re-pack the shoes and return them with a fast refund. I own 5 Hoka pairs now and will only purchase direct from the Hoka website. I highly recommend this brand.

I had a 5 day golf outing and these shoes gave me the most comfort any golf shoe ever has. They had great traction and the soles were more aggressive that the Foot Joys my buddies were wearing. Total comfort!!

I was honestly just looking for a pair of light all purpose running sneaker and I feel like I got a whole lot more. I thought there wasn't anything in the shoe box they felt so lite!! ANd once I started wearing them I found that these would not just be great for running but fer everything else as well. Great fee, great look and great buy!

I love these sneakers. Very comfortable for walking. I am so glad you had the color Olive Haze/Forest Cover because on the Hoka site the color was sold out I recommend them I wear 13 in women's size so I got the 12 in men.

These fit great and are super comfortable. Finally got my husband to try Hoka shoes. I saw these and thought he may finally give them a try since the color of these was less flashy than most Hokas. I was right, he loved these and ended up keeping the other pair I got him in Navy also.

These shoes lived up to the online hype. They fit and felt great right out of the box. I ordered them two months before an upcoming amusement park week so I'd have plenty of time to break them in. Surprise!!! They don't need a break in period.

My brothers recommended the Hokas, and they were right. These are the most comfortable shoes ever. I especially like the spaced tread, they almost feel like a foot massage when walking in hard surfaces. I will buy them again.

I've been wearing the Hoka Challenger 7 wides and Bondi 9 extra wides for "base shoes" while umpiring baseball this season since it stopped raining. My 62-year old arthritic knees under my overweight body have never been happier. The Challenger 7 is a trail runner/hiker, so has a great traction sole. Very light weight, and they breathe (are cool on hot artificial turfcooler I should say). They will collect dust, but clean up easily with just a touch of water and a brush. The Challenger 7 wides are not quite wide enough for my feet, so I had to go a half size up to get a little more width. For wide feet like mine, the Bondi 9 "extra wide" all black is simply the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn anywhere, with maximum cushion for the knees (also light weight and very breathable). They also fit my foot to size. The sole doesn't have as good traction, but they are like running on clouds. For dry conditions or artificial turf, "sublime" is the word that comes to my mind. I have bothand I find myself wearing the Bondi 9 extra wides everywhere off the field after a baseball game. I find both shoes to be very stable with lateral movement while umpiring, and the durability so far has been great. They ain't cheap, but for my arthritic knees they have been worth every penny. Even if they end up breaking down quicker than my official "umpire base shoes" from another manufacturer, I'll probably still buy another pair of each. I now wear the others just for wet conditions. And if Hoka ends up selling an all black extra wide trail runner/hiker, I will probably hoard a few pairs for the future.Neither of these shoes was designed for baseball umpires, but boy am I glad I got both!

I live in Iowa and combine trails with gravel road running and this shoe is absolutely perfect for what I do. It provides adequate protection on the unpaved stuff but is not uncomfortable on pavement, either. Think of a Clifton 9 with a slightly more rigid out sole. Shoe fits great, feels good on the foot and seems to be reasonably durable. I love the combination of light weight and adequate protection. I have raced somewhat technical terrain in these shoes but it's not my first choice when rocks and roots are involved. It's not especially responsive and the stack height and flared heel make me a little nervous on descents. That said, this shoe is not positioned for that, and for pavement to gravel it doesn't get any better than the Challenger 7. Kudos to Hoka for getting this right.
