My partner enjoys the comfort that these shoes bring as they are flat footed. Walking activities has increased which was the goal and while hiking another couple complimented the shoes and said that they wanted a new pair of Hokas'!

I am on my feet for 6-8 hours per day and these shoes really help my foot pain. Strongly recommend!

I like my Challenger 7s . I am very happy that I could get a wide shoe. That is not a common thing in a quality running shoe. It has a lot of cushion but without spongy rebound. I no longer run but I find these shoes perfect for workouts. The fit is excellent. I think they would be a great outdoor shoe.

Comfortable, especially great sole support and cushioning. I have wide feet and even the wide is slightly narrow in the toebox.

It took me about 3 weeks to get used to the pair of shoes - Challenger 7. I wish it was made 'waterproof'. Unfortunately, the waterproof version of Challenger 7 (GTX) has no wide size. Hope HOKA will soon introduce waterproof version in Challenger 7 or introduce wide in Challenger 7 GTX. This is the reason for giving a 4 star rating instead of 5

I run about 40 miles a week in them. Like the upper being mesh. They're more cushiony like the clifton. Still not a trail Clifton but pretty close. Tred is fine for me

Wanted a light weight but sturdy, non-GoreTex shoe for hiking. This wasn't it. I have wide feet with a hammer toe; these were wide enough but the toe box was just not tall enough for me.

I love HOKA shoes and I finally got it right. I wear a size 9 womens and ordered a mens size 7.5 Wide and I think they might even work without a wear spot on the other side of my largest bunion. Perfect for me and they are a dream to wear right of the box! Thank you!

The Challengers are my go-to shoes. The sizing is glove-like for my feet; just step in and go. Tread and grip are fantastic. Cushion is substantial yet with a firm feel.

I wear a 10.5 in mens more consistently then I can order a size that fits the same in Womens. I have a 10.5 in Hoka shoes already, and ordered the same size in these and they were way too small. Hoping to exchange for a larger size.

Recovering from knee surgery so haven't really gotten to take them for a run yet, but I like how they feel on foot. Just the right cushion to response feel that I like. Length true to size, width feels narrow to me (I got the wide & it's right on the edge of too narrow, which was not a problem in v.5 or v.6). Since I did get wide there are only select colours available. And while I appreciate more than one option (I'm looking at YOU v.6 until a year in), I'm not a fan of any of them. But I like the shoe enough that I kept the teal/orange version.
I typically run road, gravel/urban trail, and back and this shoe seems like it will do well as a hybrid shoe.
But HOKA, "Challenger 7" is the moniker for those who died in the space shuttle explosion. Maybe name it something else.

It is a high-quality, lightweight shoe. I love the horizontally ribbed shoe strings that kept my shoes tied without having to double knot them! I hillsides wish they were just slightly wider.
Customer service was outstanding. UPS claimed they delivered them but I never received them and the customer service department canceled that order and ordered me a new pair on the same day and I receive them three days later.
Ultimately, I returned the shoes within the 30 day window because the arches didn't fall quite right for my feet, but in my opinion that should not stop you from trying these shoes out yourself. The return with simplicity itself

Felt comfortable the moment I put them on. There was the expected break in on the first couple of 2-3 mile walks. Had to adjust lasing to get the tingling out of my left foot. No problem from then on.

I had the previous version, it was great. This model rubs my achilies tendon due to the weird shaped back of shoes. The loop to help pull the shoe on has also been removed, it was a great feature. Do not buy this shoe.
