These shoes are incredibly stable. If you're walking on an even ground or even in the city and you step crookedly off a curb. These guys will definitely help. They have just the right amount of Cush for me they don't make you sit too high, but when you come down on your heel you can feel the effect properly. Love the shoes. One more thing, they snug around the heal quite well but still give you plenty of room the toe box.

I bought the CHALLENGER 7 GTX and the CHALLENGER 7 and compared the two for my activities. I ended up choosing both because they act differently for my activities. For example, extreme to low impact cardio I would choose the CH 7 over CH 7GTX due to stability and comfort. Overall gym and outdoor activities I would differently choose the CH 7GTX due to durability, comfort and thread. My intent was to choose one over the other, but I have to say that these shoes are built tough and do not skimp on comfort. You want a good shoe, then to choose a HOKA. MRL

My husband wore the same brand of shoes for YEARS because he is particular about shoes. They usually pinch in all the wrong spots. I bought this in the wide and it was instantly accepted as good. He also noted that it felt cushioned in the heel which he liked.

Picked these up in a wide for trail-to-road running, and non technical hiking trails. Fit just as well as my Clifton 9's in a wide size feel. If you like to trail run or hike on more technical terrain, I'd advise going with the Speed Goats which I also have. Can't really comment on arch support, I use custom orthotics for my sneakers.

I've tried these recently at a local shop and decided to place my order through Hoka. My customer service rep, Kelsie, was among the most patient, well-informed, and kind I've experienced in the industry. After trying to fit in a local shoe store I thought the C7s were a versatile crossover shoe for occasional trail running or casual use in different terrains. The uppers are water-resistant, with three different cushioning options that are all comfortable. I chose a neutral/balanced insole because it gives me greater control in different settings.

Nice Hoka with subdued colors and the smaller bottom! My husband has a drop foot and Hoka is his go-to shoe now BUT he doesn't want any colors that draws more attention to his limp. This one is nice.
I'd also recommend:
