I typically don't write reviews, but my recent experience with Hoka compels me to share. In October 2024, I purchased the Hoka Transports. Within a week, they began to emit a squeaking noise reminiscent of children's squeaky shoes. After researching and consulting Hoka Support, I learned that moisture between the insole and the shoe's interior was the likely culprita design flaw others have also reported.
As someone active outdoors, it's natural for my feet to sweat, leading to this moisture buildup. I attempted recommended remedies, such as applying baby powder and thoroughly drying the shoes. While these solutions provided temporary relief, the squeaking inevitably returned, sometimes even louder.
Believing this to be a defect rather than normal wear and tear, I initiated a warranty claim after three months. However, Hoka returned the shoes, stating the issue was due to wear and tear and thus not covered under warranty. When I sought further clarification, a representative mentioned that their assessment might have been purely visual and that presenting video evidence wouldn't alter their decision.
Hoka's warranty covers footwear for one year against defective materials and workmanship, excluding normal wear and tear. Given that my issue arose within this period and was due to a design flaw, I expected better support.
In conclusion, I'm disappointed with how Hoka handled this warranty process. This experience has led me to consider exploring other premium footwear brands that stand firmly behind their products.

I was excited that these finally came in wide sizes given that the Clifton 9 wides are the only sneakers I am really comfortable wearing. Right off the bat they did not look wide enough. I decided to give them a go but after 30 minutes heel pain and the tightness of the toe box was noticeable. Needless to say I am returning these.

Absolutely love my Bondi and Clifton's. However, these transports have issues. Squeaking right shoe and something broke in the sole. Most annoying pair of shoes I've ever bought by far. I see other reviews saying the same thing so I'm assuming this is a known issue and why it was $50 off.

This is my 4th pair of Hokas, thought I'd try the Transports.... Big mistake, not comfortable like the Clfiton. Back pain within an hour of wearing them. Also I don't know how these even made it to the shelves, you can't wear them anywhere with a smooth service because you'll sound like a clown with all the squeaking.

This is the first time I ever buy a hookah product. within the first week the shoe started squeaking. I was annoyed, but overlooked that aspect. Then I noticed the sole was separating from the actual shoe? I walk over 10,000 steps a day and the shoe is described for light, hiking and city use. I would imagine that it can withstand not even three months of use. After 30 days the shoe is so uncomfortable that I am not wearing anymore. it hurts my feet so bad! Anyway i dont trust hoka anymore get new balance instead. That is what i switched to.

It turns out so small. My husband usually wears 7.5 size. This one just fit on me (women size6). I will return as soon as possible.

The heel cup of the shoe snapped inside and won't go back to it's original shape. A friend stepped on the back of the shoe by accident while we were walking and it crumpled permanently. very annoying as this is an expensive shoe. and it was past the return date. i was a Hoka guy but now im not so sure

I have a dozen pairs of different Hokas size 10.5 EE that I wear with full orthotics and all are great.
But I couldn't even get my foot into these Transports. They have to be mislabeled because there is no way these are Hoka 10.5 EEs. Very disappointed

I am a school custodian and am constantly on the move. I routinely walk over 20,000 steps a day, often 6 days a week. I have owned 3 pairs of Hokas before these and never had a problem other than the "Hoka Squeek" after about 6 months on only one shoe. With the Transports I got the "Hoka Squeek" within the first week of wearing on the left shoe and a big gash in the sole that has started peeling back on the right shoe. I had high hopes for the vibram sole but this one doesn't hold up. I tried to initiate a warranty but sending them back and waiting for them to evaluate will take about 2 weeks and they may just send them back to me citing normal wear and tear. I cant go that long without good shoes and my old ones I keep around just in case are just not cut out for everyday use anymore. I will probably end up gluing the sole flap back on and wearing these until its time for an upgrade. Sadly I think ill explore other brands next time and see what else is out there and worth the high cost of good shoes.

I have nothing but trouble since the day I ordered these. They are falling apart less then 90 days after purchase. They warranty claim process is a joke "send them back and hope for a refund." They definitely aren't even that comfortable or offer enough support. The waterproof GTX doesn't work either.
Disappointed,

My shoes were delivered to a completely different state than my order - good luck trying to speak to customer service at Hoka. Good shoes, awful customer service.

It's really sad that the bottom of the shoes are pealing off, the stitching are separating from both. They look ok still but for them to be falling apart so quickly is odd.

I was initially excited about these shoes. Problem came up after standing and wearing them for several hours on wood floors as a retail sales associate. The front portion of the shoe was very confining, to the point of pinching my toes. I'm a huge Hoka fan with the Clifton being my "go to" shoe. This shoe simply didn't live up to my expectations.
