I'm a combat veteran and musician with back and knee problems so I thought I would try Hoka shoes to see if they would help. They are a bit different than the shoes I'm used to wearing and it is a different feeling but they are very comfortable. I would consider buying another pair if they weren't so expensive, I'm a senior citizen on a tight budget.

The transport shoes are not built with the cushion and support i have become accustomed to. no arch support, minimal cushion. The tread is very noisy while walking

I don't have wide feet and, as so many others have reported, these do feel quite snug at first - almost too narrow. Not uncomfortable though and very nice for walking. The Maple/Grassland color is much paler than in the photos, almost pink.

Love the sneakers. Fit great. Very comfortable. Shipping took longer than I thought it would be.

I was looking for a comfy pair of shoes that I could use for travel outside of the country and not look like the "typical American". Walking a lot in comfort and being able to wear with shorts or dress pants was a must. These fit the bill in the subtle green color. They fit differently than my other men's hols - a little tight in the toe box which is odd since that's why I buy the men's shoes but hopefully they will stretch a bit.

I drive a lot and have had problems with heel pain due to lack of heel support. My Hoka Transports have great heel support and cushioning. I was warned that they run narrow and boy do they! I ordered an EE width, and they are still VERY narrow, but overall are a comfortable shoe. If they were wider, they would definitely be a 5-star shoe.

Very comfortable, dig the laces - but they are tight. Maybe go up a half size, or go wide (don't think this style has a wide, though). Lightweight, bottoms clean easily, nice walking shoes.

Not sure why makes this funny noise when my husband walk . We don't know what to do , is normal to make noise while walking or is something wrong with this pair of shoes. But they are comfortable. He is size 10.5 but he got a 11

Actually 4.5 stars. Comfortable shoe to wear all day. Which they were a touch wider but will get there over time. Good cushioning and solid support.

I am size 7 and usually order 7 1/2 for running or walking shoes. But for these the 7 1/2 was too small and too narrow. I had to order size 8 medium. They are comfortable and cushioned.
I'd also recommend:

The fit is a pinch tighter than I'm used to for a wide width, but overall happy with purchase and very comfortable.

I purchased the Transport model as a primarily a walking shoe. Not any fault of Hoka, but my experience with the UPS delivery was less than ideal, as it took longer than expected to arrive. After receiving, I was disappointed that the fit was just too narrow, and a wider version did not exist. There is a great shoe store in my area that carries Hoka and I will likely purchase a pair from them, as they will measure and allow me to try several models.

The D width is on the narrow side; about average. 2E is only a little bit wider than the D; I would say the 2E is more like a E. That being said; D width customers could also wear the 2E easily. On your feed all day, try the 2E first; 11.5D and 11.5 2E length is the same. Sizing on sneakers is all over the place, my shoe size is 10D.

Everything was great other than the width, I ordered wide, which is what I normally wear but these were too narrow. Hopefully, the extra wide replacement will be better

I love the comfort of the shoes but they tent to start squeaky when walking. I use them for work, and within a month they started making some funny noises that tent to get louder by the day. I sound like SpongeBob.

I haven’t given up on Hoka yet. The problem is my orthotics gobble room in the shoe — something to consider if you have them. Zappo’s support has been great.

My third pair of Hokas. My only criticism was they were difficult to slip into. Once they were on, very Hoka like comfort. Didn't want to work that hard wriggling into them though. Returned them.

Uncomfortable on my insteps. Otherwise, the shoe was balanced and well made. Unfortunately I had to return them.

I was so excited when this shoe came out -- nearly perfectly fit what I was looking for: a travel shoe that would be my one pair of shoes on a trip and was supportive for extensive walking. I purchased the grey pair when these first came out a couple of years ago. The only issue I had with them was they got drenched when it rained. Enter the waterproof ones! Hurray! I ordered them and they are mirror-image of the regulars but were too narrow. So after trying about 5 other brands I decided to return to the regulars, which have an improve shock cord lace (seems less likely to break) and advertised as having a water resistant treatment -- time will tell.
My only issue now is the color: the grey that is available in the GTX version is what I want but for some reason it isn't offered in the regular. I bought the "putty" color and they are too light. Very, very close to white -- just barely enough grey for me to keep them, but I will not buy them again unless I can get the original grey.
These are almost the perfect shoe!

This is my husband's 2nd pair of Transport's. He loves them and will likely get another pair, making 3! He usually wears a 12.5 but these run just a bit small, so size up 1/2 size.
