The shoes, in jade, just arrived. My second toe is slightly longer than my big toe and my second toe has room, so the length is right. However, the cut of the shoe narrows at the toes, which pushes my big toe towards my second toe. This is uncomfortable and is not true barefoot design. Not sure if I'll try half a size up or not just yet. I've been a long-time Trail Glove wearer and I am trying to prevent ever getting a bunion, so this change in toe box shape is disappointing. If you don't mind risking a bunion, the shoe is otherwise comfortable and I'm happy with the jade color. Maybe it's time for me to consider another brand.

Not white, it's a beige color. Huge arch support that is painful after a few hours. Weird curve shape at the front of the shoe giving it an unattractive appearance. Not like other Glove tennis shoes that I have ordered and loved.

These are my holy grail shoe - I wear them to the gym for leg days and cardio, great for running around town, and obviously amazing for trail running (and street running honestly).
They're lightweight, breathable. I am usually a 7.5, I ordered a 7 + 7.5 and I like the fit of the 7 better as I don't wear these with socks. If you're wearing socks, get your TTS!
I had the last version of these shoes and the new version is lighter and I like the cute features they added! Really happy with my purchase.

This is a great improvement over Trail Glove 6. I appreciate that Trail Glove 7 is less structured, similar to the fit of Trail Glove 5. The soles have enough protection against sharp rocks & sticks that I would feel through the soles of my Vapor Glove 6. So happy to have these.

Great for wherever the early morning takes me! Fit true to size. Wish there was a bit more arch support, but fine after wearing a few miles. Comfort and stability.

Had to return the 6...definitely keeping the 7! Getting back to that classic barefoot feel!

I was excited to try on the Trail Glove 7. Part of the sole on my Trail Glove 6 (which I really like) has recently begun to detach and now requires regular application of shoe glue to keep it in place. The Trail Glove 7 has 1-piece sole design, which I think provides superior durability. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed when I tried on the Trail Glove 7. That's because the runner isn't actually designed for running with a forefoot strike. It's a puzzling design decision by Merrell as a forefoot strike is required for trail running and "barefoot" running. The narrow toe box of the Trail Glove 7 just doesn't allow for a forefoot strike. In my opinion, I would describe the Trail Glove 7 as more of a walking runner or weight room shoe. (The Glove series aren't designed for a heel strike as that usually requires significant cushioning, so I wouldn't actually recommend the Trail Glove 7 for any kind of running). I've returned the Trail Glove 7 and am hoping the TG-8 resolves this design issue.

I am usually a solid 8, but upon reading reviews, ordered a 7.5 to wear barefoot. However, they were very narrow, and my hiking friends convinced me to order the next size up. I returned and ordered an 8, and the fit is nice. I do have one foot slightly wider than the other, so that side is on a stretcher now. These are just what I was looking for, a minimal hiking shoe for leisure hikes. I will update after hiking in them. I do love a Vibram sole, and I've never owned Merrells before.

As Merrell goes through its many style changes, I struggle to find a shoe that I like as much as older models so I am always happy to find a shoe that fits well. I don't like to buy shoes online as fit is so important, but it is increasingly difficult to find options locally. When this shoe arrived, I was so happy, as it seemed to be made for my foot. After I tried walking in it, I immediately ordered a second pair!

I purchased these for a trip to Italy where we planned to hike because they are light weight and less bulky than my Moabs. I absolutely loved them on the trail. The trail was pretty rocky with lots of large, uneven surfaces to navigate. These shoes really allowed me to feel the surface and gave me the control that a bare foot would....yet, they are supportive and comfortable. I was skeptical they would work as well as they did, but I will buy them again when this pair wears out.

I bought these as a day-to-day sneaker and trail walking for an upcoming vacation. They are really stylish, lightweight and were comfortable right out of the box (no breaking in needed). They do feel a little wide but not loose.

Lovely. The original trail gloves 10 years ago were my first barefoot shoe. I took time off running, bought these (and was a little scared because they looked so different), but as soon as I put then on, my feet felt at home again. Comfy with a wide toe box. Running feels natural. I'm usually a size 8, I bought size 8 and they were perfect. Didn't run small for me!

I absolutely LOVE these shoes. They are my first experience with barefoot shoes and the perfect introduction, I might add (I have since purchased the Vapor Glove). They have a bit more to the sole than the Vapor Glove, which I prefer since I live in rocky terrain. I recommend ordering up half a size. I didn't do that, but I will in the future. My only complaint, and reason for knocking one star off, is that the tread wore down on mine fairly quickly. If you like them, I recommend buying a few pair when they go on a good sale, since the price point is a little high given the relatively short lifespan of the tread, in my experience.

The shoes fit well, but I didn't like the color - was hoping for more white or cream, not this dirty grey shade!

I've been wearing Merrell's barefoot running shoes since 2011; switching from lithe glove to pace glove and onward as the styles evolved. I've been using the trail gloves since 2018. They've been moving further from the barefoot style and returning to more of a traditional trail shoe structure. Unfortunately with the trail glove 7, they've made the biggest jump back to traditional shoes. This style has much more cushioning than prior versions and a much wider sole base but without a wider interior. The heel cushion of the TG 7 is nearly 1/2" wider than the TG 6 and with much more arch support.
Had to cut my first run short after noticing a significant change in my running form with the new version.
Will unfortunately be returning these.
Merrell, please put out another true barefoot style.

Just enough of a sole to deliver a barefoot feel with the ability to walk on rough surfaces comfortably.

These shoes are very stylin', there is not a lot of arch support inside, they are more of a minimalist shoe but I live them

I bought a size 7, which is my normal size. I put a little padded insert in, and they were perfect!! I have problems with an old foot injury, so my arch sometimes hurts and needs a lot of support. The arch support is in exactly the right place for me, and I can tighten the laces to create a lot of support for my arch. I walked a few miles in them the first day I put them on, and they a were so comfortable -- no foot pain or ache. They will be my walking shoes.

Loved these, but they're longer than I thought they would be. Good support for a non-chunky shoe. I'm not a runner, so I would use these shoes for travel and for light walks whether in the city or in nature. I'm usually a 10.5 to 11, the 11 fit very well apart from the length. Sent them back and waiting for summer when I will probably buy the 10.5

Like many other reviewers, I have worn previous iterations of this shoe and loved them. I decided to give the 7's a try, ordering my new athletic shoe/boot size of a Women's 8. They fit perfectly with a large enough toe box and overall width. I ended up putting in a small gel heel cushion which really helped for comfort when walking/hiking longer distances. The adjustable laces near the heel also help to get the right fit for my narrow heels. They are breathable, and supportive on multiple surfaces (dirt, cobbles, asphalt, sand). Many shoes don't transition well from one to the other, but these do. Will bring with me to an upcoming trip to Europe where cobblestones reign supreme. Otherwise, i just love wearing them at home for walking/light hiking and general daily wear.

These are possibly my favorite shoes ever, and just ordered my 5th pair over several years. They are minimal in just the right way with a smaller, low profile 'look;, but still have great support, all day comfortable, and highly durable. The fit for me is perfect in my regular size 8 for sneakers.

I am very active and also have a physical job so I'm on my feet most of the day on most days. These shoes are so comfy and I don't have any foot pain at the end of the day like I do with literally every other shoe I have worn. A+. I now want them in another colour also.
