this is huge and sloppy. i have wide feet and need roomy shoes, but this seems a size larger. do not care for the look of the shoe, so would have returned even if they fit. i've been a Merrell shoe devotee for years. disappointed.

I purchased these because my podiatrist recommended Merrell and they were available in a wide width. My co-worker, who also has problem feet, bought a similar style Merrell and raves about them. Unfortunately these have some failures for me, one being the lack of arch support. Secondly, they are like walking on planks of wood. I would have sent them back but my husband gave me a pair of his extra thick inner soles for his work boots, and that helps with the arch and stiffness deficiencies. How do they look? Serviceable, not cute or pretty. At least they're not completely orthopedic looking.

The shoes arrived with damage marks and did not look new. Also, these are not a supportive shoe for my needs.

Prefer the former version 4 with leather band around the foot. The fabric band doesn't snug your foot as tightly.

I have almost the exact same shoe in the same size, that I've worn to bits, so was excited to find a new pair. Sadly, they fit completely differently. Slightly larger in width and length, plus little to no arch support. Also the quality of the material wasn't nice. The photos make it look like leather but in person they are plastic-y. Overall I was very disappointed. Especially for past quality of Merrell (and the high price).

Just not a good fit at all. Returned. I was slipping out of these shoes. I ordered by usual size for Merrill shoes and these were so big and uncomfortable.

First big disappointment with Merrell's.

Ever since Zappos merged with Amazon I have been very disappointed with my orders. If I am paying over $100.00 for a pair of shoes I expect the shoes to be brand new. I am getting shoes in generic boxes with no brand names, shoes that were obviously returned and resold. The shoes have no paper, and are just thrown in a box. NO THANKS ZAPPOS— GET it together. I am not paying top dollar for previous sold shows. This merger has been a disaster.
