Primarily used for weight lifting and recovery runs. Great ground feel. As mentioned, a bit more cushion than previous versions, but it is better for me.

RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX, I wore these shoes to an 3-day music party! Last weekend, Phish rocked Atlanta and we danced for 3 days straight and my feet never bothered me for a second! I'm a big dude and this is my 3rd pair of Trail Gloves and i'm sure they won't be the last! Super shoes for a reasonable price! 10/10 5-stars! Would definitely recommend!

Put them on and my feet loved them. Im trying to break into "barefoot" shoes and they are amazing so far. Great fit and grip . Would recomend using a lacrosse ball on your foot just before you get them to stretch your foot and strengthen it.

I bought my first trail gloves in January. Since we have hiked through Maine and Costa Rica. These shoes are extremely comfortable and versatile. I bought an extra pair to use for my daily's now as well.

Trail Glove has been up and down over the years. This is an up year. Get 'em.

Comfortable, 1/2 size smaller than normal worked perfectly for me. Perfect gap filler between a typical running shoe and true barefoot shoes. You can feel the ground, but there's enough cushion you could run on hard ground or pavement with little or no training.

Bought them ahead of a trip in Porto, Portugal. Walking uphill and downhill on stone streets, 16K steps a day with no pain or struggle. First pair of barefoot shoes and loving it.

I've found most Merrill's I've bought in the past that I would need to get a half size smaller then what I usually get with other shoe brands, these seem much more accurate to my typical size of 10.5. Toe-box is wider then the last generation too, but there's no slippage that I've noticed.

The previous model had some discrepancies when it came to sizing, so I took a pass. But this model fits to size and the quality is as expected. Cushy (but still "barefoot" or minimal) vibrant sole. Solid lacing setup and rugged materials. I hope it lasts as long as my last pair - I wore those right out.

I purchased the Glove 7 for everyday casual wear. The fit and comfort were better than expected.

Great shoes, I use them for CrossFit style workouts that I do in the mountains. They provide just enough protection and yet keep me in a more natural foot position. I like them very much.

These shoes are really great. Super light weight and comfortable without sacrificing too much in the way of durability. Its thin and flexible enough to feel like a barefoot shoe but the sole is sturdy enough that I wouldn't shy away from rocky or slippery trails. They also fit snug and hug the foot well unlike some Vivo's I had before that felt a bit like snorkling flippers with how wide they were. I would definitely agree with its namesake, these are "Trail Gloves" for your feet.

Comfortable minimalist shoe. Equally useful squatting and deadlifting as trail running and scrambling.

The TG7 is a move back in the right direction and to me, feels very familiar. I have used the trail glove series from the beginning and, with the exception of TG6, have been very satisfied. The fit and form is very much like the TG5 with maybe a bit more cushion and protection. Comfort is outstanding. Sizing is good for me both in length and width, lacing is secure and traction from the new sole is really good on dry trails. I have not tried muddy trails in these. I am seeing no unusual wear or tear and all-in-all I am very pleased with this update.

I very glad they returned to a wider design. Much more comfortable and fit similar to previous trail glove models than last year's trail glove 6. Bravo of the changes!

I personally love the new trail glove 7. Compared to trail glove 6, improvement on lacing system is night-and-day. Trail glove 7 offer better toe protection and sole-support while not diminishing much of barefoot-feel. Added top sole-protect on top of foot aids allows shoe to remain in excellent condition after hikes.

These shoes are outstanding in every regard. I am planning on buying 2 or 3 more pair before they design them into obsolescence. I replaced my old minimalist shoe with these due to painful heel and arch strikes from roots or rocks. When I run, I place the majority of my weight on the balls of my feet and toes followed by a gentle heel landing. I only run trail never hardtop but dont see a problem for anyone wanting to run them on asphalt or at the track. They have plenty of cushion in the heel and arch but not so much as to alter the geometry of your foot. Cannot say enough, these are awesome.

My favorite trail gloves yet. I've put about 30 miles in them so far. They definitely feel more durable, have a wider toe box, and feel like there's just a little bit more of a cushion compared to the TG6's but still feel very minimalist. They run big compared to the TG6's. I wished I ordered a size down before running in mine.

This is my first Merrell shoe, though I have worn their sandals for over a decade Order my normal size, 8M, they fit as expected The padded, gusseted tongue is a nice feature when you "snug" them up The total stack height is listed right in the specs, 14mm, they are relatively low to the ground, yet they are actually quite comfortable, and promote a good motion

Love this shoe! I wear the vapor glove in the gym, but it's not quite enough of a "shoe" for me to wear all day every day. The trail glove fits that need for me.

Ordered to potentially use for upcoming trip to Italy. Ordered 2nd pair 1/2 size larger, perfect fit. Good balance of support, but minimalist feel, and comfortable without socks.

I have only had these shoes for a little over a month. I bought the 2nd and 3rd (I think) generations of the trail glove and liked them. Then they were getting pretty poor reviews so I stopped buying them. I decided to give them another try and glad I did. These are very comfortable and just what I was looking for. They are not minimalist like the older ones, but still very light and minimal over all. I think I actually prefer these a bit as my feet don't get as tired as they did in the earlier gen ones. I would probably pass these up if you really want a minimalist/barefoot style shoe. However, if you want something close but with a little more cushion and all-day comfort, these might be for you.

So far I really like these shoes. They are very grippy and they are really like walking barefoot. I am excited to try them on some hikes but they will mainly be my daily wear. Beware they do fit large, I usually wear a 13 but had to go down to a 12 for these.
