I really wanted to like these slippers because I did a lot of searching for durable, yet stylish and warm leather slippers. These fit the bill, but they're not comfortable in that they feel like I'm walking on the ground and they actually make the bottom of my feet hurt. For the price, L.L. Bean needs to do better. It would be great if they added memory foamwithout raising the price.

I read some of the reviews about the shoes being uncomfortable due to part of the leather digging into the heel. My ankles aren't small but they aren't huge either. So, I figured that I'd be okay. Today I got them in the mail. Adorable! I tried them on and figured maybe they would adjust with wearing them around the house. After about an hour they were still uncomfortable and actually made one of my knees hurt. I decided that trying to break them in wasn't worth it. If you have small to medium ankles you should be ok. Anything bigger and there is a chance it might be uncomfortable to wear. L. L. Bean please make the ankle area 1/4 inch bigger or even redesign with a larger circumference that can accommodate a larger ankle size.

This is not a slipper! As the name implies, you can just slip on a slipper. This requires tugging and a shoe horn. The opening is simply not big enough - a serious design flaw. While useless as a household slipper, I use them occasionally to run errands or go outside for a few minutes in the cold. Too bad you can't slip them on and off as needed. Otherwise they'd be nice and warm.

Love the look but that's where it ends. I have worn them for a couple weeks now and really wish I would've purchased the slippers I normally purchase from LL BEAN. These are very uncomfortable and actually hurt my feet.

I bought these Mountain Slippers with high hopes, but they are extremely difficult to put on, and then once on they seem to fit well enough, but the top of the tongue press into the front of my ankles, and so after having the on for a minute, I end up thinking, "I can't wear these!" and I take them off and put them back in the box. Haven't returned them yet, but after reading similar complaints below, and complaints about the too-small loop at that back tearing, I know I'd better just return them. Sure do miss the olden days of L.L. Bean products.

Would be great but one slipper had a seam in the back that was so rough and rubbed the back of my foot to the point that I had a bruise! Returning.

Bought these a year ago, size 10 because they don't have half sizes. They fit ok with socks, length and width are good and they are warm. They have lasted ok but they're not especially comfortable. Not enough cushion. I'm not sure if I'd recommend them to anyone. Wish they were softer.

Loved the style, fit, warmth but there was no cushion. Other slippers or shoes are more comfortable. These were a gift I was excited to get but was disappointed wearing.

Love the look of these, but they did not love the back of my heels (posterior ankles); they sat too high above my ankles and rubbed a closed blister in less than an hour of me wearing them for the first time...

These slippers are a nice quality but run very small. I am a true size 8 and have other LL Bean slippers in size 8 and these run so small I couldn't get them on. I gave them to my mom, who is a size 7, and they fit her perfectly.

I wear size 7.5 but had to order up. An 8 was too large and the stitched logo on the heel of the Ingersoll was uncomfortable. Slippers should be comfortable.

These were not slipper like at all, more like some kind of low boots..I tried to wear them in the house for a day or two, but they were too stiff and cut into the back of my leg; I returned them

My arches are high; needed a shoehorn to get slippers on. Not convenient, wouldn't buy if I had known this.

Nice navy color and a good boot-look. It was comfortable everywhere but at my ankle bone. The boot was made too high for me so the constant pressure on my ankle made it sore and unbearable for me to wear.

These are really cute! BUT--the front upper edge cut into my ankle with every step. After a few minutes of wearing them walking around my house, the front of my ankle was becoming abraded. So I took them off and am returning them. I'm really sad, because they are cuter than my old slippers. I'll keep looking.

I was really looking forward to these boot mocassins for the winter around the house. When I got them, I put them on, and immediately found them to be uncomfortable around the ankles. Each time I took a step or bent my ankle, the mocassin "bit" into my ankle. I ended up returning them.

Not as advertised...the leather is too hard. Manufacturing defect with excessive glue on insole which rubbed on the outer side of the right foot. The heal of the boot pushed into my achilles tendon.
