One slipper fit just fine, the other was obviously wider and felt too loose and sloppy on my foot. I returned them and did not ask for a replacement since I didn't know which one was considered the correct size. I didn't want two that were wide and the store did not have a replacement. What kind of quality control misses this? As soon as he took the slippers out of the box, the salesperson noticed the difference. Also, the padding for the bottom of the foot was rather thin.

I bought these cute slippers but there was a seam on the inside that hurt my left foot. I sent them back and ordered a different pair, same style, thinking the seam would be different in a new slipper. Nope. Same seam, same pain. Too bad .. I loved the look and my right foot was comfy but that seam was really uncomfortable to the side of my left foot.

Cool shoes and on sale but both ankles were being chafed on the first day of wearing them. Disappointing. Had to return

Wanted to love these but these are the source of my new foot pain. I have narrow feet & you need narrow feet for the opening on these slippers. The opening is quite small & you'd think with the cotton fringe going down the side of the slipper, it would be forgiving but it isn't. There is NO support in these slippers. It's like a memory foam & it is unbelievably uncomfortable. I started getting this cramping, on both of my feet & I wasn't sure why. My Doctor asked me if I got a new pair of shoes & yes, these slippers. Now that I'm not wearing them, the pain went away. If you are looking for a slipper with support, this isn't the slipper for you. I will have to try something different. Sorry LL Bean, this slipper is cute but super uncomfortable!

I was planning on purchasing these online and decided to try on in store beforehand. I'm so glad I did! The boot moc on my left foot was absolutely perfect. It was warm, cozy, not too tight or too loose, and all of that with and without a thick wool sock on. Then there was the right boot moc. The inside and fit were wonderful but the top part that hit my ankle in the front was not. Looking at them on the display, and in the multiple pairs I tried, they were not made as mirror images of each other, at least in the dark cement color. To make sure it wasn't just me, my friend who was with me tried them on too (our feet are the same length but different widths). She had the same issue with the top of the boot moc being stiff and feeling like it was digging into her ankle bone in the front. It's really disappointing, and while I still love them for house slippers that I'd hardly ever want to take off, it's not enough to have only one happy and comfortable foot and ankle.

I had second thoughts on these when I ordered them. When I called to cancel I was told the order couldn't be cancelled. (They hadn't been pulled and labeled to ship yet) when they arrived I tried to like them, but the quality wasn't what I had hoped. Not very comfortable and a bit frumpy fitting. So, I returned them.

Bought these, they are nice if you can get them on! Shoe horn only!! Way too expensive for what they are! No support.

My husband really loves his so I wanted matching slippers. Unfortunately the upper section hit against my ankle and too tight on my high arch. The material was too stiff on that upper piece.

Beautiful looking, wife can not insert her foot as there is no flex built in and opening is very tight. Have not decided what to do. Either modify or return I guess.

Two stars because these are nice and warm but the high back of the shoe rubs against my heel while walking which I didn't notice at first. But after wearing them all day my Achilles heel is sore and it's like torture to put them back on. Don't recommend. I'll stick with regular non-ankle height slippers from now on.

Kind of annoyed they say to size up if you are a half-size... half-size exists for a reason! The 9 is too small and the 10 is too big. Otherwise I would have loved them. Very disappointed and now have to drive an hour away to return them.

I really wanted to like these slippers because I did a lot of searching for durable, yet stylish and warm leather slippers. These fit the bill, but they're not comfortable in that they feel like I'm walking on the ground and they actually make the bottom of my feet hurt. For the price, L.L. Bean needs to do better. It would be great if they added memory foamwithout raising the price.

I read some of the reviews about the shoes being uncomfortable due to part of the leather digging into the heel. My ankles aren't small but they aren't huge either. So, I figured that I'd be okay. Today I got them in the mail. Adorable! I tried them on and figured maybe they would adjust with wearing them around the house. After about an hour they were still uncomfortable and actually made one of my knees hurt. I decided that trying to break them in wasn't worth it. If you have small to medium ankles you should be ok. Anything bigger and there is a chance it might be uncomfortable to wear. L. L. Bean please make the ankle area 1/4 inch bigger or even redesign with a larger circumference that can accommodate a larger ankle size.

This is not a slipper! As the name implies, you can just slip on a slipper. This requires tugging and a shoe horn. The opening is simply not big enough - a serious design flaw. While useless as a household slipper, I use them occasionally to run errands or go outside for a few minutes in the cold. Too bad you can't slip them on and off as needed. Otherwise they'd be nice and warm.

Love the look but that's where it ends. I have worn them for a couple weeks now and really wish I would've purchased the slippers I normally purchase from LL BEAN. These are very uncomfortable and actually hurt my feet.

I bought these Mountain Slippers with high hopes, but they are extremely difficult to put on, and then once on they seem to fit well enough, but the top of the tongue press into the front of my ankles, and so after having the on for a minute, I end up thinking, "I can't wear these!" and I take them off and put them back in the box. Haven't returned them yet, but after reading similar complaints below, and complaints about the too-small loop at that back tearing, I know I'd better just return them. Sure do miss the olden days of L.L. Bean products.

Would be great but one slipper had a seam in the back that was so rough and rubbed the back of my foot to the point that I had a bruise! Returning.

Bought these a year ago, size 10 because they don't have half sizes. They fit ok with socks, length and width are good and they are warm. They have lasted ok but they're not especially comfortable. Not enough cushion. I'm not sure if I'd recommend them to anyone. Wish they were softer.

Loved the style, fit, warmth but there was no cushion. Other slippers or shoes are more comfortable. These were a gift I was excited to get but was disappointed wearing.
