I cannot stress enough how well these are made. Look at the adult version of this and the comfort and they just shrank it down. I was shocked. I have a pair for my 6yo and 8yo for their gym shoes. And the ones from last year were still in perfect condition so we donated them.
They have asics as their everyday school shoes as well. They said they made their feet feel better.

My girls, 4 and 8, both have these. They are great. About the 8th pair for the oldest one. We try other brands, but these fit our kids best. Excellent amount of cushion.

I bought these for my son. He loves the way they fit and they do not give him blisters with all the running around he does. I would love to purchase them in other colors but you don't seem to have his size.

Great shoes for kids! Our daughter has flat feet coupled with over pronation. Prior to seeing a podiatrist we did our research and a lot of Orthopedist and Foot Doc's highly recommend Asics for proper foot alignment. They do their job for sure and if you're wearing Nikes just know your feet are not getting the love that the should beASICS takes care of the things you stand on all day and keeps you feeling good. Buy these. Our whole family wears them!

Very comfortable, flexible toe box, easy to get on and off. They held up nicely for about 6 months of indoor recess and sports. They worked for my narrow-footed 8 yr old, but I wish the velcro strap came up higher for better ankle support, so I wouldn't buy this style again for narrow feet. A kid with medium feet and wider ankles probably wouldn't be bothered by it.

These shoes are pretty good -- comfort, fit, etc -- but I was disappointed to see that the velcro was just a top strap, as opposed to the kind that threads through for extra secure closure (if that makes sense). Overall, good shoes, though I anticipate the velcro wearing out before the shoe does.

Normally ASICS hold up really good for my boys, but this pair's top of the toes wore out really quickly. There wasn't any reinforcement around the edge/top so that was my bad for not realizing that.

One star - fabric ripped after two days of wear. My son loved the colors and said they were comfortable. I sized up hoping these would last for a few months. After two days of normal wear, the fabric ripped. Zappos customer service was excellent as usual, but I can’t recommend the sneakers.
