I have worn Birkenstock sandals for many years and always a 39, as my shoe size is an 8. But I found the Mayari sandal to be longer, so the 38 fits me perfect! I have them in the Habana Oiled Brown leather and the Oiled Black Leather. I may splurge and get the Oiled Blue Leather as well. They can be a tad stiff right out of the box, but after wearing them for a while I tighten them up 1 hole and they’re perfect. Absolutely the MOST comfortable sandals I’ve ever worn! Birkenstock has NOT disappointed with the Mayari!

One shoe had a toe loop that was way too loose and the other one fit.

These are great, I love these sandals! It looks a little more refined than the Arizona style (which I also love but this is just different). Comfortable!

Great, comfortable sandals! My first pair and I ordered my normal size. The width was accommodating for slightly wider than normal feet.

Wasn't sure how to rate the sizing. In my experience, these fit great once you get the right size. I used to wear size 38 (going with Birkenstock suggested sizing. I wear US size 7 to 7.5 shoes), and they seemed fine, size-wise. When I purchased a pair of the Mayari style at another online shop, my feet swam in them. So maybe this is a style issue. I wore Arizona Birks in the past, and had my first long ago pair sized in a Birkenstock store. Following the advice from a couple of Zappos reviewers, I sized down to a 37. They fit perfect. I purchased oiled leather Festival Fuschia Mayaris, they were comfy almost from the start (took me a couple days to get used to the toe loop, but probably because I don't normally wear flip flop types of sandals). After the brief breaking in time, they are heavenly. Nicely constructed, beautiful color, sturdy. I've worn Birks for well over three decades, since college. Very pleased.

I LOVE THESE SHOES!! So much so, that I’m giving-up all my other flops & only wearing these from now on :)

I also wrote a review for the Mayari Birks without the oiled straps, and there is a difference in comfort. Both offer amazing arch support and comfortable footbed but the straps on these are pretty stiff. They will take some break-in time, unlike the Mayari Birks with regular straps. Still love but maybe not quite as much.

Amazing sandals. I did end up sizing down by one size to get the right fit. Perfect once I figured that out.

I was so excited to get these but my feet slid around and forward even when tightening the straps. My toes kept sliding forward to the end

I ordered these sandals because my daughter had a pair.Right out of the box they were comfortable and fit perfectly.I particularly like the olive green color,so different but compliments most of my outfits.

Beautiful and comfortable right out of the box! I normally wear a size 8.5-9, with moderately wide feet (I usually take a regular shoe width but occasionally fit better in a wide), and my normal Birkenstock size of 38R was perfect.

I love these sandals! Great for my feet (we have a few issues), for my posture and gait. After breaking them in, they are my favorite travel shoes, comfortable for climbing stairs, walking long distances.

Birkenstock is my all-time favorite, most comfortable footwear! I don’t can that my son calls Birkenstock contraception you wear on your feet :)
