I have high arches and plantar fasciitis. These do not have enough arch support and they are killing my feet. Unfortunately, I have worn them too much to return.

Always my "go to" casual summer shoe. For two years I've tried to leave the house in other "fun" summer sandals but can't do it. Due to arthritis in my hips and knees I need comfort and support, yet at fifty three, I want to remain current and stylish. The patent leather Birkenstock fits the bill. I wear them everywhere - shopping, lunch with the girls, out with my husband and to the lake. They are darling with casual summer skirts, bermuda shorts and capri's adding comfort and support at the same time. I prefer "black patent" because it looks great with everything "summer". Along with a black patent leather "messenger style" handbag. Gives you a classic casual summer look. They are comfortable out of the box but trust me - they become "yummy" after a month of wear and get better and better in time. I'd say "best" if you break them in before a vacation. My foot is size nine with the width falling between medium and wide. Size 39 is a perfect fit. As always, Zappos customer service can't be beat. Seriously, if Zappos estimates next day delivery, you can bet the bank on it. Your order will be on the front porch the very next day.

Comfy and stylish...what more could you ask for? These Birks deliver, and no animals were killed in the process. I didn't realize these were not leather, and I almost sent them back (don't usually like to wear non-leather shoes), but they are so comfortable that I kept them. Despite what you might read online about the straps not stretching, they do stretch a bit. I've had to go one-hole shorter on both straps. You won't be sorry with these shoes!

I love them! True to size and outstanding arch support. I intend to get a second pair in a different color.

This shoe is cute, cute, cute. I've worn Birks for 20 years, and was looking for a less clunky pair. Found 'em! They're pricey, but they also last. The first pair I received was too large (mine had worn off - the size); and a 40 isn't really a 9 1/2. So I downsized to a 39. Also, the footbed of the pair I initially ordered didn't match each other. Excitedly awaiting replacement. Zappos Customer Service rocks!

My doctor recommended that I try Birks since none of the shoes I tried were giving relief to me when I stand all day at work. It took a few weeks to break these in, but I am noticing a gradual change for the better. I love these.

I love these Birkenstocks and had the hardest time finding them in my size. In one week's time Zappos let me know my size was in stock. I ordered and a few days later I had my favorite sandals!

These shoes look and feel great. I have a narrow foot and Birkenstock sandals are the make that I'm able to wear. Look forward to having these shoes for a long time.

I have been wearing Birkenstocks for my whole adult life. When I used to teach, I loved that I could be on my feet all day and never be sore. Now that I am a mom, I love that I can slip them on quickly and be comfortable chasing my kids around all day. I was looking for a pair of more feminine looking sandals to replace the New York pair that I have had since college. The Mephisto Helen shoes were recommended to me by a friend, but when I bought them and tried them on, my feet were too wide for the tops. My toes were spilling out over the footbed and it just looked terrible. I also bought the Birkenstock Gizeh but had to return those as well because the rounded leather part above the thong extended out on top of my big toenail and just looked silly. The width of the Birkenstock was perfect, though. So I was happy to find the Mayari because I felt like they were a great combination of smaller, thinner, more feminine buckles and straps, with a wider footbed. I guess I never realized how wide my feet are. I normally wear medium width shoes, but for some reason my toes are happy spreading out in these. If your feet are narrow, you probably would have to make the straps very tight. I do not know how comfortable that would be, or if it would compromise the look of the shoes. These are super comfortable for me and I do not think I have taken them off all day. I love the Golden-Brown Birko Flor color. It is just a little fancier than brown leather flip-flops. I am really happy with these and I know now that I will always own a pair of Birkenstocks!

I love these shoes! These are my first Birkenstocks. I have to say that I don't think they will be my last. I bought a size 6-6.5. They were to big. I sent them back and got the next size down and they fit perfectly!

Most comfortable sandal I own. Never owned a pair as my feet dont' give me trouble and hate to spend the money, but bought these on sale and I hate to take them off.

Wonderful fit and quality you expect from Birkenstock. I hadn't worn thong type sandals in a while and was worried about it irritating between my toes - not to worry; they were comfortable right out of the box! The silver is pretty; I am taking to Europe as my casual dress shoe for the evenings.

Love these shoes! I have 5 pairs of this same style and wear them every day in the summer! Excellent arch support and heal cup. I have terrible feet and these are the only sandal that I can wear with comfort all summer long!

I have purchased a number of Birkenstocks and these are my favorites to date. Comfortable, supportive and even stylish. I bought them in silver and am very pleased.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years, they are my favorite sandals. They are easy to dress up/down. I enjoy the styles, colors and prints.

I ordered these and about 6 other pair, to compare and see which I liked the best. I have a very flat and narrow foot. I got these is narrow. I tried them on, sent them back and then I reordered them and they have been on my feet continuously. I felt lost without them. =)

Okay, I'm wearing these today and have had a few wow those look cool comments. I've never had a pair of Birkenstocks that fit around the toe, very interesting.

Love this sandal! I was looking for something besides the basic flip flop that I could wear all day without my feet hurting and this is it. Love the adjustable straps, they make it easy to fit anyone's foot. I did order my regular size and they fit great! They did hurt for a little bit while my foot got used to the footbed, but after a couple hours of wear they are perfect. The color is a little darker than the picture for the antique lace, more of a darker cream than off white. Overall they are great! Love Zappos!

Love them! Most comfortable sandals and the little bit of shine is great for casual outfits and semi-dressy outfits.

Ridiculously comfortable. A bonus is that my husband doesn't think they're as heinous as my other Birkenstocks.

I have bunions on my feet from wearing heels all my life, so find it very hard to find sandals which do not hurt my feet. These, however, feel very good.

These sandals are great! Very stylish, yet true to the Birkenstock reputation of comfort. Please note, they have a gold sheen to them that is unable to be seen in the pictures. However, it is not distracting, nor does it make the sandals too "flashy".

I'd been wanting a pair of Birkenstocks for a while now, but didn't like the other styles. After walking miles around Boston one day in some crappy flat sandals (they rubbed my feet raw, and irritated a running injury), I decided it was finally time to pull the trigger on a solid pair of sandals. These are super cute, and I like how the silver makes them a little less earthy-crunchy looking. It also makes them versatile in regards to matching with other colors. I have normal width feet, and regularly wear a size 8 (39 in this case), but ordered down a size as they run big. They fit perfectly, and are so comfortable. The suede foot bed is soft,keeps your feet dry, and prevents uncomfortable rubbing and sticking if you're walking around all day. They even helped my injury by providing arch support. If you have low arches, these may hurt a bit when you first put them on, but your feet kind of mold into them after a bit of walking around. Overall, if your looking for a comfortable summer shoe, I recommend these.

I love Zappos because of their free shipping and getting the product fast! I also love the fact that they carry many good brands of shoes! I do wish they had more color choices available, instead of being out of stock or unavailable!
