I bought these in the Onyx and the color is a beautiful silvery light blue. I was initially reluctant with this style because my feet tend to slip out of slip-ons without a back strap. I am so pleased to report that these shoes are fantastic. They do not slip off; maybe due to the position of the strap along the top of the foot. The strap between the toes softens after a few wears, so stick with it if they bother you at first. I have narrow, arthritic feet and cannot wear any type of heel. These are my "go to" shoes. I slip them on when I get out of bed in the morning and wear them all day. I just wish they had all the colors in the 40 Narrow; I would buy them all.

These are my second pair of Birks...ya gotta love them! They are so comfortable and they make me stand with better posture...no better sandals!

These are incredibly comfortable sandals!They look good, elicit complements, and are narrow enough for my problem feet. They are expensive for sandals, but worth every penny! I love the wear-with-anything color as well.

So comfy. I didn't require any break-in time for these great sandals. They're great with jeans or capris and work just as well with skirts and dresses. Great arch support and relief for my plantar fasciitis and Achilles tendinitis. Best thing going for my back with its out of whack discs!

I love this variation on the classic style! I gave 5 stars on comfort. However, any seasoned birk-er knows it's all about breaking them in. As usual, they run a bit wide even though I have them in a 36 narrow... But not too wide that I can't wear them. The silver straps go with everything. :)

These are beautiful, comfortable and fit true to size. I ordered narrow and they fit my feet so much better than my previous Birkenstocks, which I also loved. I can't wait for summer so I can wear these every day!

It is so difficult to find narrow sandals - even thongs are too wide for my feet! The narrow Mayari fits me perfectly. It takes some break-in time - the footbed conforms to your foot with wearing. The heel cup is secure and the straps are secure so that there is no slipping even when walking fast.

These are a narrow version, and fit perfectly. Very comfortable and I will be taking them to Europe this summer.

Love them!!! If you wear half sizes get smaller size. Such as if you normally wear 6.5 US, get 36. Worth every dollar! But of course I do wish they would have sales on these once in a while ;)

Comfortable and stylish. Great for traveling because they are lightweight. I took this on a trip overseas and wore them almost every day. They may hurt your arch at first so break them in before a trip. The shoe bed will form your feet in time.

I wear a 9 to 9.5 B women shoe and the 40 narrow fits great has great support. I love this sandal very comfortable for walking long distances. Looks nice with shorts, pants or skirts.

This are comfortable and stylish Birks, I really like the grey color. I have been using the Madrids (similar to flip flops) for years and still love them, but these stay on your feet a little easier. So these are better for longer walks. I always order a size smaller (no need to go narrow width) in Birks. I'm usually an 8/8.5 but require a Size 38 (US Women's 7-7.5) in Birkenstocks.

These are AWESOME sandals! I have had multiple pairs, and the black patent ones are super cute "dressy Birkenstocks" LOL...I do get compliments on them all the time! They run large...I order a 37 even though I always wear an 8 in flats and running shoes (but I have short toes, so if that doesn't describe you, you might not want to size down as much as I do. My podiatrist recommends wearing Birks in the house at all times to keep plantar fascia at bay, and I have high arches so these sandals are the best that I've found for high arch support. Zappos, you are the best! My old ones gave up the ghost on Sunday afternoon after two-and-half years of near daily wear, I immediately ordered a new pair, and, zoom! here they are only 48 hours later. :-) Yay!

These are probably my FAVORITE Birkenstocks! Very comfortable and does not fly off my foot like other non-heel strap styles. May order another color when the warmer weather rolls back around! I ordered the narrow and a size smaller than my "normal" shoe size.

It ran a little big, will need to return for next size down. 8.5 normally but will need a 38!

I wear Birkenstocks because of my plantar fasciitis. These are the only sandals that I wear, that do not make my heels hurt. Most of mine are the Mayari style. I even wear them to Church with my long skirts.

I have never worn birkenstock's before, but I love this pair. Worn them all over Key West and they were comfortable from the beginning of my walk 'til the end. I like the patent. I was concerned about the straps around my big toe, but they were very comfortable, too.

I love these Birkenstocks! They are absolutely amazing. They provide all-day comfort, and fit my feet true-to-size.

I'm a Birkenstock fan wearing 3 pairs/year that I rotate out (retire) 1 pr. each year. I am on concrete all day every day living on the side of a mountain in warm climate, often walking on rough terrain. I can wear my Birkenstocks at any time & be reassured to have a steady, solid & comfortable support at all times...with a little fashion mixed in. The Mayari is by far the best looking, fitting & comfortable B. sandal of all the styles that I've had so far. I'm getting ready to order my second pair now.

I have had many pairs of Birkenstocks and several different styles. The Birkenstock Mayari is my favorite. I have a lot of problems with my feet and now Plantar Fasciitis. I have been to several doctors and nothing was working. The Birkenstock Mayari gave me relief instantly. I now have 2 different colors and about to order a third. Zappos is great, and make my life so easy!

I love, love, love this shoe! I have had several pairs of Birkenstocks over the years. More recently, I have been wearing Papillio's (another Birkenstock shoe-just more funky in my opinion!) and I literally wear them out! Anyway, back to the review, I was looking for a black sandal and after 2 tries with Papillio's (no success for some weird reason), I tried this one. It is very similar to the Papillio Tabora except the Birkenstock sandal has a buckle on both set of straps. I first ordered it in a cool silver metallicy color. I really liked them but the were too similar in color to a pair I already own so I send them back and ordered a pair in black, what I was originally looking for! They were back ordered but I didn't mind waiting. When they arrived, I took them out of the box and wore them for 7 hours. No kidding! They are that comfortable! I wear them almost year round. You can do that in south TX! If I'm not barefoot, I probably have a pair of Birkenstocks on!

Love this sandal. I've never thought of myself as a Birkenstock person but when I started developing foot problems, someone recommended the brand. I chose this style because it seemed the least "caveman" or "old lady" of the styles. It is cute and it feels so good to wear them. I am between size 6.5-7m normally and ended up buying a 37 which according to the charts is a 6-6.5. I probably could have gone 36 because there is still space at the back of the sandal. I am very happy with my purchase and wear these often to and from my group fitness classes.

I have been wearing Birkenstock shoes and sandals for over 20 years, love them still. The Mayari style has been my favorite go to sandal for many years. They have a more feminine look than many of the other styles. I just love the new colors offered, the Habana Oiled leather is a great look. Will continue to wear Birks, I had Plantar Fasciitis for too long, this brand works for foot problems!

I literally wore these shoes all summer! They are comfortable for all day wear, even walking. I got a ton of compliments on them as well! They are so worth the purchase.
