As a gal with flat feet, I've spent $$$ on custom orthotics and flip-flops with built-in orthotics, only to have my feet ache after only a few hours of walking. I decided to go back to basics and try these Birkenstocks. No pain, no swelling, and no break-in time required! Just ordered a second pair in brown.

Birkenstock sandals are pretty much my staple spring, summer and fall. They give me the support I need to be on my feet all day as a teacher. The Mayari are probably the most stylish, and I feel they go with pretty much everything. They do take a couple weeks to break in if you're not used to Birkenstocks.

There was a period of breaking them in for me. My friend said the same for hers as well. But now after about 3 wears they're great. I love them because they're so much more attractive than the foam flip flop and 100 times more comfortable!

I love the Mayari style and especially in the Antique lace color. They are extremely comfortable, I usually wear a 6.5 but am right between a size 36 and 37 so I ended up going with the smaller size since they will likely stretch out a little over time.

These are very comfortable and supportive. I wear 6.5, and the size 36 fit best.

I love these sandals. I really didn't think I would, but these are so comfortable and have formed to my feet. The medium width accommodates a wider foot and you can loosen the straps if needed. There is great arch support but all feet are different- so I like that these shoes form to the shape of your feet.

These sandals are ridiculously comfortable! Right out of the box, they felt great and even more amazing after a few days of breaking them in. I had surgery to remove a bone in the arch of my foot last year and my podiatrist recommended Birks for proper arch support when I don't feel like wearing sneakers. This style is super cute and I love the oiled leather look. I walked 5 miles in the city on hard concrete during the first week I had them and didn't get a single blister, PLUS my feet felt like I hadn't walked at all. They don't feel slippery when your feet sweat the way some sandals do and my toes don't feel like they're gripping to hold on to the shoe. They're literally the best feeling thing I have ever put on my feet!

My first pair of Birkenstocks and my favorite sandals. I get complimented on them all the time too. They didn't take that long to break in and the toe strap is comfortable.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I couldn't be happier! I love the style and they are pretty comfortable right out the box. The size was true to size I wear a 8 so I got a 39 and it fits perfectly. They are worth every penny!

These are so cute, and realiably comfy!

These shoes are amazing!! I have difficulty finding comfortable shoes, and wear Birkenstock Gizeh but the piece between my toes has become increasingly hard on my feet. These are amazing, and fit my foot like all other birks(I wear a size 6 in most shoes, but in Birkenstock a 36 is consistently too long and I have to have a 35 in Birkenstock). My only complaint is that I would like to have a second color. Size 35 is very difficult to find, and 34s (youth) are too small and 36s are too large.

These look cute, but the toe loop hits me in the wrong place -- it's on top of the front of the toe, instead of lower down. I don't think a different size would help, it's just my feet. These are very comfy and pair well with anything, though.

I got these sandals in the Antique Lace color - they're pretty much off-white/cream in color and they get dirty really easily. I wore them twice and they already have dirt smudges already. They are really cute though, and I think they'll be great for summer. They're definitely a little bit more fancy than some of the other colors, although they are still casual. They are comfortable and my size in these sandals is the same as my size in the Birkenstock Arizona sandals.

I was looking for a sandal that would be comfortable to walk in (more support than flip-flops, for example), and I have high arches. I love the support of these sandals, and that they look a little more chic than the "original" Birkenstock style. I'm planning to use them quite a bit this summer :) The foot bed is firmer than some might like, and I think it takes a little getting used to/breaking in, but my feet don't ache after I wear them and am walking around, standing, etc., which is awesome.

Loving these Birkenstocks so far. I am an 8 and I originally ordered a 39 which was too big, but the 38s fit perfectly. Great arch support and very solid construction. As with any new shoe, they need a bit of wearing in, but unlike other sandals, these will definitely last you more than one summer of heavy wear.

I have never been a huge Birk fan but the color of these makes them adorable!! Great support and cute!

Beautiful sandal. I'd say this style runs a little bit narrower than the Arizona.

I got these for my adult daughter. the first pair were delivered defective and Zappos was extremely accommodating and immediately sent her another pair. She hasn't gotten much use yet as the weather is just warming up, but she loves them!

The most stylish and comfortable birks yet! The toffee color is a dark brown with a slight metallic sheen.
