Described as waterproof a boot... My wet feet prove otherwise. ??

The upper lace loop pulled off the shoe after 1 week. Not impressed with the quality of the shoe. Will shop elsewhere for shoes in the future.

Bought these 2 months ago and the soles are already coming unglued in the toe area. They are not waterproof either as my morning walks in wet grass result in soaked socks. I have been wearing Rockports for several years because of comfort and availability of wide widths but their quality is going downhill.

The shoes are comfortable and fit well, however, I've only had them 3 months and after a liberal application of Shoe Goo this morning to try and hold them together I decided to write a review. I wear the shoes daily but my exercise consists of walking the dog to the mailbox and back. The toes started peeling back a few weeks ago, and then I realized the entire side of one sole had come loose, explaining my wet feet when walking in the grass. I've had Rockport shoes before and have always been satisfied, but these have been a real disappointment. Perhaps I'll add a photo once the glue dries. I'm sure I'll be replacing these sooner than later because Shoe Goo doesn't last very long.

Very low quality construction with even lower quality materials. Rockport is just a name on Wal-Mart quality boots.

I NEED new hiking shoes bought two pairs to try: this one and the XCS Spruce Peak Trekker. They both look great and really wanted to like them. Unfortunately, upon wearing both of these around the house to test for support/comfort, it failed. The bottom soles of these shoes felt really thin, as if I can feel every pebbles that I step on. The only other shoes that I had which felt the same way was the vintage original Converse chucks which I wore casually around the city. For hiking, I'd expect thicker soles to isolate the rough terrains from my feet. Sorry but I had to return both of them.
