As far as the container size, its decent for a sandwich and maybe 2 sides but if youre not a sandwich type... its better suited for something else. I could see it as the designated snack bag for a trip or fill it with feminine items for that timing.

It was too small even for a lunch bag. I was disappointed.

I bought this for my middle schooler. Initially I was concerned because with a couple of containers on there (if they even fit) there was no room for a water bottle. But she said she'd just use the one she keeps with her during class, so it wouldn't need to fit in the bag. The first day of school, I packed her 5.5x7 stainless steel food container with her meal, out her dessert in a 3-diameter (2 high) round container, put a thin ice pack in the pocket and another inside behind the big container, and could barely get the zipper closed. My daughter said that by lunchtime five hours later her food was still cold but the bottom and lower front portion of the bag was soaking wet. Today I used the same ice pack in the pocket, but lined the bottom of the bag with Glad Press n' Seal, and sat a smaller ice pack on top of that, and then put the containers on top. (Not the big 5x7container; it wouldn't have fit on top of the blockier ice pack). We'll see how this works, but lining her bag with plastic wrap kind of defeats the purpose of my waste-free containers! I may just save this for dry snacks and get her a different lunch bag.

I got this bag as a holiday present, and was so excited when it came. The shipping time was great, and the bag arrived in seemingly great shape, if a bit flattened from the mail. The colors are bright, the pattern is beautiful, and it's easy to fit in a backpack or other bag. However, the quality is awful. After three -- three!! -- uses, the zipper handle came right off. Not from rough use (all I did was pull the zipper gently!), not long-term wear and tear (did I mention three!!), just from poor quality. If this was a cheap dollar store bag I'd understand, but I always thought Vera Bradley bags were made with superior quality. I expected more for the brand and for the price.

Two months from purchase, the zipper pull is already broken. Very disappointing.

This lunch bag is really pretty and I've been getting it for the past two years for high school, but this time it broke within the first week. A faulty piece maybe?

Bought for my 12 year old daughter who is meticulous with her things after day two of using the zipper pull broke. Love the pattern, quality disappointing.

I buy items from Vera Bradley. Always have liked them. This lunch bag looks very cheap. My granddaughter, who I was buying for, thought it was not good quality. Plus the zipper was stuck on the material inside the bag. Finally got that unstuck. I am keeping only because school is starting and don't have time to get another.

It is very small and the handles feel like they will break if you add to much. I was very disappointed with this product. I feel for the price you have to pay the quality was very lacking. I have purchased a lot of items over the years and been very pleased but I think Vera Bradley has changed in there product quality.

Can't use this with an ice pack. It leaks all over as the ice pack defrosts and it made a complete mess in my daughter's backpack

We just received this and I'm so glad we tested it before sending it to school. I only put a yogurt inside with a fit+fresh ice pack (which are great)in the pocket. In 2 hrs the front outside was soaked through, the ice pack still a bit frozen, and yogurt somewhat cold. I'm returning it, but am wondering how I missed that it wasn't even thick enough or water resistant. If this were in her backpack or next to other kids' lunches, everything would be ruined. This is a cheap, poorly made product (at least it won't work for us and for cold food).

I got this lunch box in order to take my lunch to work. It was great, until I spilled some soup in it. I followed the care instructions, and washed it on gentle in cold water and when I pulled it out the insulated lining had basically ripped and disintegrated. It was right by the zipper on the seam, so I can't zip it now or it gets caught and stuck. Really bummed out. If it isn't really washable, they need to say that.

It's my fault for not reading the measurements. This is cute and adorable but I can barely fit a sandwich or a snack in here. And definitely no ice pack to keep my lunch cold. I will keep looking for one in the ideal size, it just won't be Vera Bradley

Not much substance to this bag to be called a lunch bag. I love the print, but the bag is very small & has no support. I will not be using it as a lunch bag.

This is really flimsy, not worth the Monday. These use to be pretty sturdy but I don't think this will last long. Disappointed.

I bought this lunch bag for my daughter, Vera Bradley has always been our go to product. This is the only item I have ever been thoroughly disappointed in..It looks and feels very cheap and is not at all leak proof like other Vera Bradley lunch bags. She and I both carry Vera Bradley backpacks, key fobs, wallets, totes for trips, and purses. I think the craftsmanship on this product could be a whole lot better considering the price.

it's small and thin. the main problem I have, we have had it for 2 school years now and it's still flat, the sides just fold in. it's not sturdy, it just collapses. Definitely not big enough for a high school age kid's lunch.
