I have a size 15D dress shoe that was too small to wear comfortably, so I moved up to the next size and went wide, given that I expected my feet to have grown in both directions. I measured the length of my feet via the Zappos online tool, and width using another online tool. I found that I am definitely not a "wide;" I should have ignored online advice to step up width. However, I expect that the pain that I experienced on the front pad of my foot would have been the same had I chosen the correct width. I have worn cross trainers for many years; this shoe basically has absolutely no padding. There does not appear to be any innersole; foot resting on shoe leather. Perhaps this would work for a tall young person, but not for someone heading toward retirement. It looks like I will have to put out the money for SAS.

I bought a 13W as that's what all of my other dress shoes are, but although the length is good, it is considerably narrower than my other shoes. They have about as much arch support as my slippers, so I'll have to find some inserts. Very light (weight) and looks fine for the office.

I take a 4E which is an extra wide in Rockport-speak. I saw a WW on my original order. Thought that meant double wide, or extra wide, or 4E. I only got one W so the width was too small so back they go--which I don't do unnecessarily. The shoes look ok, funny shine and plasticy soles that look like they are slippery. The color is as displayed. They have a slightly beveled heel and the toe tends to curve upward. There are better Dressport type shoes.

Hard, uneven footbed felt like my socks were bunched up. Very narrow even though I ordered wide.

Toe box was narrow, otherwise it looked nice.

The shoes would’ve been great except we received dirty shoes. The souls had mud on them and dirt. Not acceptable. Don’t know how they pass inspection of any kind and we really needed these shoes when they arrived
