I love it! It works great for me. I walk to work and needed something to fit food, computer and hand bag. This does it all!

This is a great backpack all around. It has a good, non-bulky laptop sleeve. I wish more of the straps were removable. The main compartment is a good size but the outside, smaller zipped compartment is a little small.

This is the most awesome backpack I have ever owned, except maybe for the chairpak, but I can't use that day-to-day.

I purchased this backpack for a cruise I was going on that had two planned excursions. It was a lifesaver. The bag overall is very light and very functional. The bungee system came in very handy as did the sliders to expand the bag if needed. The backing is a little hard so when you place the backpack on the floor it tends to tip over. Even though the backing is hard the bag itself is very comfortable, and doesn't leave you feeling like you have a pack on your back. Some of the stitching seemed less than stellar, untrimmed threads etc. However they didn't have an affect on the functionality of the bag itself.

Great backpack! Has space for my laptop and plenty of space for books. It's also great to take out camping because of the super comfy shoulder straps. I will be getting more of these.

I bought this backpack to use for college (to replace my beat up Oakley). I was highly disappointed. It is a well-made pack, but it is not designed to haul heavy college books and binders. It's a bit flimsy in my opinion. If you want to use this as a travel/day backpack, it is perfect. I returned it as soon as I received it.
I'd also recommend:

I have been looking for a do it all bag that I can take to work, the gym or take hiking and this has been a good choice. I have another Osprey pack that is more technical, but too large for day to day use. Osprey is a fantastic company, the bags are well built and well thought out. There is plenty of storage space with separate compartments and it can cinch up if you don't need to cut of side to side movement when in use. I was concerned that the back panel and the thin belt would not be substantial enough for use in the woods, but I am wrong. So far, it does a good job of staying with me and holds everything I need for light hikes or day packs. Overall, it has been a great choice and I look forward to lots of years of use.

Sleeker looking than the old model. Perfect school backpack for my teenaged daughter.

This backpack is perfect for my everyday needs; it has just the right amount of space, being neither too cramped nor too cumbersome. I love its zippered pockets for easily sorting different pieces of gear, and the straps on its back allow for easy additional gear storage.

My first pack. Used as both a work pack and hiking pack. It can handle gear of all kinds and is sturdy enough to throw down a mountain accidentally. Still have her all these years later

The backpack has held up well after using it for three years daily. The small issue is that the rear mesh is abrasive on my winter jackets, and they all show wear on the lower back area.

I purchased the Blueberry colored Quasar and it is brighter than the website depicts which was a pleasant surprise! I was looking for a medium size backpack that holds a lot and this fits the bill. 2 large storage areas, smaller pockets and organization for other items, plus a fleece lined front pocket for phones/glasses. I do not like a backpack with a ton of pockets because it just leads to me digging around too much in search of items. It is not too large for my female frame and the backpack is light weight, which for a female is a plus. It does not feel cheap in any way. Only negative trivial detail is the logo looks a bit like it will rub off easy since it is just printed on. The ink looks "weak". Would have preferred a stitched on label, or at least a heavier print.

I bought this pack for an international dive trip I will be taking. Along with everything most people pack for travel, I need to take my underwater camera, dive computer, mask, dive log, swim suit and change of clothes in case my luggage gets misdirected (that's only happened once). There's room for all of that and more. I like that this pack has an inconspicuous top carry handle along the back. The shoulder straps are comfortable and not too wide. I can get my liter hydroflask bottle in the stretchy side pockets without any problem and it looks like it will stay put. While the front adjustable cord is useful, I would rather have a shove it pocket for easy access to snacks or last minute items. I chose the blueberry color and it's nicer looking than the picture shows it. I might change the red cord to a dark blue, just personal preference.

I've used this for maybe 8-10 years? I've had this for longer than I remember, and it is consistently my favorite daypack/school/etc. The organization is good for my purposes - electronics, laptop, cords, a shirt or hat, winter jacket/beach towel in the drawcords. I'm on the hunt for another favorite pack in the 30-40 liter category, but in a pinch I've always found that this pack will manage to carry more than I expect. One thing I'm always grateful for are the cinch straps over the water bottle pockets - when I'm jogging or fast walking from the car to work I can have a large yeti or a small can of coffee strapped in without worrying it will fall out.

I tried TNF packs. They were bulky and uncomfortable. I hate the overly padded back and the super stiff straps. I'm a 5' 0" female, so maybe that's why. I found the Quasar to be lighter, more flexible, and comfortable for my body and needs. I use this backpack as a carry-on for travel and I don't need to be able to carry it for hours at a time. For this purpose, the Quasar has the space for all my stuff, plus I like having the elastic strings on the outside for a hoodie/sweatshirt/light jacket for when I'm warm.

Weirdly designed pack. The interior sections are thoughtful and well designed but the exterior is strange. Most striking, the shoulder straps are oddly thin, narrow, and cut strange. I think carrying more than 10 pounds in this back would start to cause discomfort. Another weird design is the compression strap. This strap is OVER the water bottle pouch effectively preventing water bottle storage and also compressing the volume of the pack--it's one or the other. Why couldn't the bottle storage be placed over the strap? I think this would be good for...well I'm not really sure. Someone who carries a netbook and a very light jacket? It has a lot of volume but I am very concerned about the straps and not only the longevity but the weight it can support, which I don't perceive to be much at all.

I really don't have any complaints about this backpack. I purchased to use for school and travel and it works well for both purchases. The only slight drawback is that small items shift to the bottom of the main compartment and become difficult to dig out because the zipper only comes down about 1/2 way. Overall, I am very happy with the color and design. My laptop, power cord, phone, and books all fit perfectly and the straps are really comfortable.

I love my Osprey bag! It is actually better than I hoped it would be. It's very comfortable and very sturdy. The straps come in handy and the small inner pockets make getting to my metro card quickly a breeze.
