I bought this shoe in black, 10W. My feet are not quite wide but I have little, short toes that are sometimes rubbed by medium width shoes especially when there are seams or stitching. The length is perfect and because these shoes are actually shaped like feet they have a lot of toe room. They are almost too wide but I think my baby toes will rejoice. The shoes are very soft inside because the sock liner has a small amount of padding with a smooth covering. I'm keeping them specifically because of that feature. There is very minimal arch support but that's easily remedied by removing the insole and putting in your own. I use a thin Superfeet and a Happy Soles Terry cloth liner. (I hate socks.) These are not sleek or dressy but are very comfortable casual oxfords. My only complaint being that Clarks has mixed in some brown flecks that look like dry grass on the soles of the shoes. It looks like I walked across a recently mown lawn.

It’s everything I looking for everyday shoes!!!

I was looking for a pair of shoes that would be versatile enough to wear with sporty or dressy outfits with or without socks and these fit the bill! Unfortunately they do run a half size bigger and I had to get a smaller size. They are comfortable with no areas rubbing and the arch support is slightly above average

Love these shoes! I bought these to wear at school when I substitute teach. They required no break in time, and are so comfortable and cute! I got many compliments on them.

Wow this is a really cool, classic, urban looking shoe. Putting it on the first time was as comfortable as having worn it in.

They felt comfortable. Bit the 10N felt more like a 10M, too wide for my feet.

I really liked these Clarks, but they were a bit too narrow for me (I wear a medium width), so I had to return them.

I've been looking for a good pair of black oxfords that weren't too clunky looking for my slightly wide feet and these caught my eye. Unfortunately they weren't quite right for me; just not quite the fit that I needed, the leather seemed stiff. I think if they could make this shoe in a really nice leather it would work, but I had to return them.

The amazing: wonderful fit for bunions and very nice construction. Not so great: tongue is too high and rubs on leg and silly shoelaces are too long. Kept them because of the fit and the style.

Would have liked a better gum sole and softer leather but, at least they are leather and but man made.

I wish these shoes would have worked out they are look great. They are a nice soft quality leather, but I use a custom orthotic. The insoles do remove, but even with removing the insole, the heel wasn't deep enough to accommodate my orthotic.

Cute, sleek shoe but very scratchy inside. Returned.

The size and fit were o.k., but the leather seems very stiff. I wanted to like these because I am looking for a black lace up shoe that I can wear to work in a business casual environment. My feet are on the wide side, but these just weren't what I was hoping. If the leather would have been soft and slexible, it probably would have been more of a keeper, but they had to be returned. Sigh...a black lace up shoe that is functional without being frumpy seems like a lot to ask.

Good fit, not happy with the color.

The 8 wide was a good fit with thicker socks. With thinner socks, I pulled the laces as tight as they would go and still had some slippage on the heel. The arch support was missing even with a removable insole (which didn’t raise the arch). The insole was a kind of molded piece and had ridges in the top which were uncomfortable. The sole were really hard and the insole didn’t add an expected layer of “cushion” as expected.

The wide width was good with a thicker sock. With a thinner “dress sock” (or my compression travel socks) the shoe slips off the heel on my right foot. The laces are as tight as you can make them. Unfortunately, the insole removable insert is very uncomfortable. It has these ridges built into it that you can feel under your foot and a very hard sole under that. The description sounded more “cushy” but it really isn’t. I also needed more arch support. It reads as “moderate arch support” but I think this shoe really has none — definitely not in the insert or the bottom of the shoe. I generally like Clark’s a lot, but I had to return these.

The size and fit were about right, but the quality wasn't what I come to expect from Clarks. The leather is loose and sloppy and doesn't feel like it supports my foot at all. I wore them to try on and the shoe looked saggy and shapeless on my foot. The detail stitching on the top was unsecured upon arrival and immediately came loose. These are being returned - not worth the sale price I paid.

I liked the shoes but the heel was too wide and slipped up and down. Also, the stitching on the tongue of one of the shoes had a broken stitch. The stitches were large and contrast made the break too obvious.

I was hoping for an artsy sort of shoe, but this shoe seemed more down on the farm - which is fine and useful, but not what I was after.

The shoe is not bad looking and it fits the normal Clarks fit. In the past couple of years, Clarks Medium has become more narrow but that works better for me. The problem is not enough cushioning. The insole is cushioned but that is all. There is no midsole and the outsole is hard. This shoe is not for all day walking. Well, it might be OK for that if you are 30 years old.

Wore them out.

It is rare that I try on shoes and immediately know that the fit is perfect. In fact, I've just ordered a second pair! I have a narrow heel, mostly-medium forefoot, and a high instep. I've steered away from Clarks in the past because they tend to be just a bit too wide for me, but I couldn't pass up the sale price on these. The laces allow me to get a good snug fit in the heel without putting too much pressure on my instep. And the toebox allows me to wiggle my tootsies. The shoes could probably use a little more arch support for all day walking. They're fine for normal wear, but I'll add inserts for my vacation to Europe later this year. So glad I found some nice, non-sneaker, walking shoes for that trip!

Shoes were a little stiff at first, but after the first wear they were perfect.
