1) definitely go half a size up. I have had size 9 and 9.5 in Terrex and this is definitely one for the latter.
2) boost is comfy
3) nice colourway
4) fit well out the box but as usual I needed some blister plasters on. Not blaming the shoes!

Not what I expected. I loved the Terrex Free Hiker Gore Tex 1.0 so much that i finally replaced them with these 2.0 versions. The key difference is that the 1.0 had a sock-like, woven opening to put your foot in. The 2.0 is the more traditional separated tongue and heel opening (like most shoes). The back of the heel also extends WAY up. I haven't had these long enough to see if the 2.0 is an improvement, but I do miss the sock-like opening. These 2.0 do have a nice big toe box.

The fit feels great and the water resistance is spot on for my needs, I don't have a bad word to say about these yet. I just hope that they last a good while.

Great boot for hiking and outdoor adventuring, however I'd prefer if the boost was encapsulated in a more durable material. It's very easy to scratch and damage when hiking, especially on loose rocks.
Comfort is great as with all boost products.
Overall pleased with my purchase.

Love these hikers. ADIDAS didn't disappoint yet again. Nice cushning, comfortable during hikes , enough shoebox space even though me feet are pretty wide. However one aspect//problem I run into with Adidas shoes is sizing. Size 9.5 feels and looks like size 10. Overall super nice hiker. Gets 4 stars just because of sizing. I did keep the hikers but regret not exchangeing it for half size smaller.

I got wide feet and they probably expend as a day goes on when I first got these out of the box I put them on and they were super comfortable as I warm as a day progressed the toe box I realizes really narrow so if you got wide feet you're in for a world of hurt normally Adidas accommodates my wide feet but these you're in for a nasty surprise

I live in Guatemala and they sell them here like other regular shoes. I tried them on in the store and they felt great, but after using them, they felt too hot and unbreathable. So sad, because the boost technology is great and they are good-looking shoes."

Switching from the elastic top to the more rigid fabric around the ankle was a mistake in my opinion. While it may be 'better' ankle support, I think it makes full mobility when you lace them up tightly(even after breaking them in for 3-4 months). If you decide to loosen them, they kinda chafe and create a gap for things (water, gravel, grass) to get inside your shoe. Still a good shoe to grab if you can get it on sale, otherwise I would wait for a 3.0. The 1.0 is my favorite shoe Ive ever purchased though!

Extremely comfortable and versatile. The fit is great and a perfect lightweight option for winter. However, seriously question the quality. After only one winter, the color on the sole is starting to fade. The quality doesn't stand up to the asking price.

This version 2.0, has a stiff upper bit around your ankles and the tongue is too thick and folded inside the shoe which adds pressure on your foot making it uncomfortable. The previous version had a sock like fit with the upper ankle area, the tongue was gusseted and didn't add any pressure to your foot. I prefer the first version by a lot, please bring it back.

Well made, runs quite narrow and is very tight to put on, same as the all in one sock version of the shoe.

It's a cool-looking boot. It's a shame about the sizing. I ordered my usual size (I already have the Free Hiker 2.0 low version which fits perfectly). However, I only realised afterward that though I selected my usual size from the men's product page, the order selected the women's size instead. When I tried it on it was tight, so I returned it. I wish Adidas could be clearer with the differences between the men's and women's shoe sizes. Some of the 'women's' hiking shoes look good and I would have no problem wearing them, but converting shoe sizes is such a faff. Adidas, please make it clearer. Thanks.

I have owned these shoes less than a year and they are already falling apart. Way to high of a price tag for a shoe with no durability

Its GORE-TEX which serve as a good water repellent against storm. However, it was rather bulky and heavy which may not be suitable for long distance walk/hike
