Beautiful, high quality boot. I did not pay enough attention to the reviews that said they slip on the heel, but I have very narrow heels so it's not uncommon. That said, I should have ordered a size down which might have made a difference. The reason I knocked one star off is the outside zipper: First time ever I have had to zip a boot from that angle and it's not a huge deal, but it's a weird design decision.

These boots didn't work for me for a few reasons. First, they are very lightweight, so much so that if it was any other brand I would have questioned the quality. That surprised me in light of the other Cole Haan boots I've owned. Second, I found that the zipper being on the outside made them harder to get on and I wasn't wild about how it looked. And finally, I bought my usual size, and while the length was fine, they slipped up and down on my heel - also not my usual experience with Cole Haan. Had to return.

Comfortable ,stylish, true size love the zipper on outside but some how it's makes it little hard to put it on, however I love it.

I was eyeing these last winter, but my size (10.5) sold out before I could purchase them, so I snapped them up as soon as they went on sale this year. Unfortunately, I ended up returning them because they weren't slim enough for my small bone structure. I've tried combat-style boots from multiple places and while these were sleeker than many, they still had too much volume to look right on me. I ultimately found a different pair that isn't as high quality, but look much better on me. I hated to send these back and dithered for a while - they're waterproof, elegant, fabric-lined, but I just couldn't get over the fact that they looked like I was wearing my dad's boots. For most people, these will be excellent, but if you have big feet and skinny legs like I do, you might want to try something else. I also didn't love the external zipper, but would have overlooked it if they had worked for me fit-wise. Alas, my Cole Haan count is only at eight pairs, but I am a dedicated customer; 99% of the shoes I've purchased are perfect AND they come in 10.5!

They look great and very comfy but the zipper on the outside makes the boot a little difficult to zip.

This boot is good quality. I am usually an 8 1/2 (39) and I ordered 8 1/2. Definitely room for thick sock or even insert. No break-in time needed. Wish the zipper was on the inside but overall, happy with the book. Good treads too!

Love these boots. Went up a 1/2 size based on others reviews. They fit great. So comfortable. Took a star away due to the zippers being on outside. Not a huge issue but it's awkward taking them off. Would have loved zippers on the inside. Been wearing nonstop.

the boots fit well and comfy, it's easy to put on by the zippers. The only problem I've noticed is that the soles are slippery on smooth surfaces. I don't know why , maybe due to the hard material of soles

I love the look of this boot. I had to return because the toe bed is narrow. The heel & sole provided a stable shoe on winter ground. I've never felt so bad about returning a boot. It just wasn't for my feet.

Not comfort for walking to work. The last zero ones I had from cole haan was so ergonomic and comfort even for a long day.
