I am returning the second pair of Caroline Pearl because of what I believe is a manufacturer defect in the same place of both pairs. There is a crease in the fabric lining one the shoes in the heel area that makes it uncomfortable to wear. It is in a perfect place to cause a blister. I love Clarks and will continue to buy them. This shoe is great in every way, but there is an unfortunate glitch in the construction of Caroline Pearl.

I found this show comfortable and since i am currently suffering from a sore large toe joint because of a serious injury last year, that is saying something. Although the toe box on this one seems smaller than Roseville Dot, the leather is soft and the bending point when the shoe is flexed does not bother the toe at all. Kind of a miracle. You do need to scooch your foot in, as the opening is smallish, but that did not bother me. I wear an 8.5 in Clarks in the dress shoes which i wear in stockings and i found the 8.5 in this with a medium wool sock, not a heavy winter sock, fit very well. The brown is very dark, espresso color. I would have liked a medium brown but what the heck. I was seeking a something to wear come colder weather and this fits the bill. I have never understood the arch question, so no comment,

The fit is a true 8W and fit my feet perfectly.

These are a good shoe for wearing with pants, although in the country i wear them with socks and a long skirt too. The toe box is wide. I broke my foot and wide toe boxes are what I need. They are easy to slip into and stay on your foot. Clarks are made of full grain leather, so buy them so they fit snugly and they will give a bit and be perfect. And since the leather is so good, even that process will not hurt. I have them in 3 colors, so yes, I like them a lot.

I have wide hard to fit feet and these are perfect. They slipped on easily, which was a major concern as I didn't want to have to have shoes with shoe laces. I highly recommend them.

Feels great once on. Slightly hard to slip on but is great once on.

These shoes fit true to size. While I first I thought I'd return them because the red was really red...not even slighty burgundy...but these shoes will look great w/jeans. These shoes look to be able to handle the winter weather too.

A well made, attractive shoe. What didn't work for me was the back of the shoe--that little tab feature rising higher above the ankle was a little irritating, and felt like it would be a problem with a lot of walking.

Took a few wearings to "break in" certain areas -- like pressure at base of big toe. But, in shirt time, things relaxed yet support is great. My fave walking shoes. The buttin and stitching elevate the look. Definitely need shoehorn-- so glad I got a long-handled one to keep from crushing heel.

Lovely, true to size, good arch support. Comfortable now but, for me, required short "break in" period. The few tight spots -- base of big toe -- stretched on its own without shoemaker intervention, which I'd contemplated. Now, I can walk for miles in these. Waterproof bottoms which may seem a little clunky are balanced by attractive button and stitching details on top. A great purchase. I often do well with Clark's-- so well made.

It had been a long while since I had new, well-structered shoes for everyday wear. I live in the city and walk everywhere. My older shoes, even with arch supports, were not helping but rather exacerbating tendonitis -- but that has been far, far better since buying and wearing these Clarks. I like the decorative elements on the shoe as well. I must say that it did take me a few wearing to "break them in". That is, they were mostly comfortable from first wearing but had to limit amount of time as the leather warmed and shaped to my foot. (I have a bunion on one foot, and these rubbed it at first but loosened by 4th wearing. Now, many weeks in, I walk all over without a thought about my feet. I should probably buy a second pair of these asap as women's shoes tend to disappear seasonally; yet my husband can buy the exact same shoes every ten years. These have become my go-to, every day favorites for support with just enough style. Like the low-key, water-resistant lug-sole. Not overwhelming and looks very nice.

I really like these Clarks. I bought here shoes in a little bigger width so I could wear a heavier winter sock. They are really comfortable to walk in and the style is great. I will be wearing them in my Michigan Winter as they are really sturdy but stylish.

True to size. Durable Clark shoe...can't go wrong.

These shows are quite comfortable. I have a narrow foot and they do slide a bit in the heel, but I do think they run a bit more narrow than many medium width shoes.

I like the look and feel of the shoe but they were a little bit too large for me. I've lost 40 pounds in the last two years and it seems to have changed my shoe size.

This are a comfortable casual shoe. Good toe box if you have sensitive feet- I broke a toe a while back and this do not bother it at all. I see it as a weekend shoe out walking, very comfortable.
