The best knee socks for winter. I use them everyday because they aren't too thick but they are very warm and comfortable.

Great socks for skiing! Fabric is the perfect weight to allow movement in ski boots while still keeping our toes nice and warm!

These are fabulous. They fit perfectly, and the criss-cross on the top of the foot gives me a lot of stability. They are sleek enough to wear with dress pants and are comfortable to wear from morning until night.

Yes, they are thin and yes, they have zero cushion. But that's often what you want with a stiffer ski boot. Great to get as many turns in on the slopes.

I use the ski/snowboard socks for work outside in FL because they are wool and can keep my feet cooler than cotton but it seems like the wool content is less than previous socks I have purchased as they are really stretchy and my feet move too much inside my boots. Might have to find a different brand.

I have travelled to France, Switzerland and skied with these socks. They are comfortable, thin, easy to wear and warm.

I have small, skinny feet and wide calves. I need the size Small for the performance fit (size 6.5 - 7). These are the best ski socks ever because they are thin, warm and have enough give in the legs to not cut off circulation! I find myself wearing them under my regular pants as well because I love them so much!

I wear them almost daily along with previously purchased Smartwool socks. They're comfortable, wash well and don't bind at the calf. My only wish would be that their wool content could be higher & more obvious to the touch as older ones are.

I live in Honolulu. The only time I need a warm clothing is for trips to cold clime. I hav experience with Smartwool. I used to depend on their dresses and skits when I was on such a trip. I'm going to Japan in February, so naturally I thought of supplementing my wardrobe with these calf socks!

Felt like my lower legs were being slowly cut off by the lack of circulation due to the tightness of the socks. I couldn't wait to remove them. Wonderfully cheerful color.

I love these socks. I use them for skiing, snowshoeing and hiking. They stay up on my calves very well. I bought 2 pairs. Unfortunately, on one of the socks, the top inside edge became detached the first time I wore them (see photo). Hopefully that issue will stay limited to just that one spot.

I ordered these socks for a military event and extremely disappointed that even after paying 2 day shipping, I have yet to receive my purchased items 3 weeks later and no reply from your customer service experts.

I purchased Smart Wool ultra light calf socks years ago.... and still have a few pairs left. I love them - soft comfotable wool but sturdy; never falling down and keeping me warm. I wear them every day - dress up or casual. ( I live in North east) The new updated socks are synthetic feeling and hard and not comfotable. They feel harsh and stiff. I returned all pairs I purchased; very disappointed. I love Smart Wool and will conitnue to look for a quality sock that is not synthetic and boardy feeling

Love the zero cushion socks. It would be so wonderful and inclusive feeling if your women's socks would stretch just a liiitttllee more for women with large calves. I can get the sock 90% over my calf but it runs out of stretch, unlike the men's socks. It ends up squeez9ng my calf right on the widest point of the muscle and causes cramping more easily when I'm skiing hard than the men's. Also blue was the only color available for women in early December but the men's had tons of options. Perhaps stock more socks for women, we like to be outdoorsy and active in winter too! And we're not all pin straight, we have curves that we want to embrace and not suffocate.

These stocks represent a drop off the cliff compared to Smartwool's iconic and now discontinued PHD Ultra Light cushion ski socks, of which I was a huge fan. I ordered three pairs because I loved the purple color, but after wearing the first pair just two times, I saw how badly they pilled and immediately returned the other two pairs. Ironically, the pair I wore twice looked ten times worse than my old PHD ultra light socks I have been wearing for the past 15 years. That is the problem they are trying to solve. They don't want socks that last, they want more frequent sales from folks who are good with wearing socks 2-3 times and then having to replace them. That's not me. Searching for a true replacement of the old PHD ultra lights from alternative brands. Smartwool's quality has gone out the window.

I've worn smart wools socks for decades and it's such a pity that they are made with so much polyester. They no longer breathe as well and feet start sweating immediately after putting them on. Go back to quality product for which you are known.
