I use these for horse riding. The smartwool fabric keeps my feet warm and dry in winter, and cool in the summer. Love the print, and my last pair lasted me over ten years. Durable, quality product hopefully these last me another ten years! The targeted cushion is ideal for my riding boots and keeps my feet from getting sore after hours at the stable. These socks cost the same as a week's worth of groceries in my country, but worth it!

These are just a joy for cold, wet winter days in the barn. Feel great in my boots and hold up well.

Great product! I exclusively use smartwool socks when skiing. These socks do not slouch, slide or cause issues while in the boot. I would recommend getting the thicker ones for very cold weather skiing.

These are wonderful ski socks. I typically get the non cushioned ski socks but was looking for some extra protection for my shins. These are listed as targeted cushioning but there doesn't seem to be any extra cushion along the shins in these.

I have had lots of Smartwool socks in the past and they are the only thing I like to wear in my ski boots!

Smartwool socks are my very favorites. I have tried other wool brands, and none compare for me. I own Smartwools in probably every height and cushioning variation. The over-the-calf height are my favorite in winter. I personally prefer them to the crew height as I have athletic calves, and they stay up better. In summer I wear the ankle height. I wear them for everything: running, hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, around the house. I hope they keep making the over-the-calf height. They are expensive, but getting harder to find. I wash them in cold water and hang dry. They last for years. Every now and then I get lazy and put them in the dryer, and they seem fine. Can you feel the love?

Skied with these socks in extreme Arctic outflow temperatures at Whistler. Feet were not cold. Love the style and feel of Smartwool socks.

Smart wool are the best ski socks

The top band of these socks is so tight it cut off my circulation. And I have skinny legs! I have to fold them down to use them which makes having a knee sock pointless

I've been trying to get back into skiing again, but I'm such a baby now because the cold weather really gets to me. These socks were just the motivation that I needed! Nice and warm socks. Thinner than expected for ski socks. My feet tend to run cold. I would probably something thicker if skiing. Not sure these will do the job without layering with another pair. Socks have some compression so I wear a size 6-6.5 and these just fit (small). A little tight on my calves- I have normal sized calves.

Socks dont slide down while active though they are little bit tight around the calves. I do have large calves. Overall really comfy and warm! #smartwoollove

These fall into the 'passable' category for me. Even though I ordered my size, medium (I wear a size 8 1/2 women's shoe), they are a little too big in the toebox so they slide around a bit on my foot and in my ski boots. I washed them and put them in a hot dryer. They fit a little better, but they still seem to move around a bit on my foot even though they appear to be the right size. I'm thinking maybe they are not the best sock for a narrow foot? They are also a little thinner than I would ideally like for my ski boots. I don't like thick socks for skiing, but I would like a little more padding than this one. I probably won't buy them again. There is another brand (Fits) that fits my foot much better.

i have the skinniest legs; these are so tight at the top that they cut off circulation; WHY?????????
