I thought getting a size large the socks would fit the way I want. The foot part was very roomy, but around the instep and ankle they were too tight.

This sock is horrible! The fit isn't right at the heel. Called customer service and the said it was wear and tear?!? I wore it for 3 hours. I like smartwool but not this sock!!

I was very disappointed to discover upon delivery that the wool content listed on the sock hanger was substantially less than in the description on the Smartwool website. (~62% vs 75%) This is a "bait and switch" in my book. I decided not to return them as I didn't want to go through the hassle and I will wear them. However, I did not receive the product that I thought I was purchasing. In fact, this was the case with all three pairs of socks I ordered; the percentage of wool was much less than stated on the website.

I use as everyday sock. The part of sock that goes up the leg should be tapered and open up, not ridiculously tight. Your old socks were all made that way and comfortable not sure why you feel now you must squeeze the life out of our legs.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The “short version” of this sock is fantastic, therefore I ordered many pairs. Material/texture/pattern is very attractive looking and soft. Great thickness, not bulky, perfect for everyday and around house. This longer sock, however, is restrictive above the ankle (around the shin/calf); it’s cut too tight at the cuff and leaves a mark on the skin and is uncomfortably tight in that area. Toe box is the same as in the short version (roomy). I have a light build and thin legs, so these socks must be very tight at the cuff and even less comfortable on stronger legs/calves. I have many versions of Smartwool socks, but none of them is cut so narrow at the cuff.

The tops have no taper wider... made for girls or chicken legs... so tight they cut off circulation... It muct be cheaper on a machine to do this...

Not true to size.

I bought these socks last November and wore them in the winter. I have other pairs of socks so only wore them about 10 times. i wore them once this year and noticed a hole at the toe.

They started to unravel before I even wore them out of the house. I had them on maybe an hour and washed them once. These socks don't feel anything like Smartwool socks used to. Do they even contain wool anymore? They feel like a cheap sock and they don't stay up! The heel ends up under the middle of my foot, making them completely unwearable.
