I recently bought one of these at a local store and liked them; they only had one color. I ordered 2 more pairs online, all in the same size, and while I like them the black pair is much smaller than the slate, even just by looking at them.not sure what happened there. I wear them, but they are very snug and short at the ankle.

These are beautiful, soft and light and i totally love the looser ankle. However they are very tight as i have wide feet. Very constricting. I would love to see a size XLarge added!

I sent them back because didn't like them and I haven't gotten a refund

I wear these as a casual sock with sandals or shorts and a casual shoe.

Great with my horse riding breeches and with tall rising boots. No bulk and great foe summer.

It's hard to find wool ankle socks with no cushionand here they are! Very comfy and the polka dots add a little fun to my day.

I'm buying two more pairs because I love my black socks with white dots, and they are thin enough to work for spring. That said, my first pair developed a hole at the toe seam after just a few wears, which is something that's never happened with any of the MANY other Smartwool socks I've owned. I will repair them, but I hope this doesn't indicate a change in the quality of Smartwool products.

Bought these for my 95 year old mom. Keep her feet toasty warm!

The best socks ever! They are so comfortable, my ankles are happy and relaxed I wear these socks in the spring and summer and my feet always feel refreshed.

The photo of the ash colored socks needs to be improved, to me the colors looked to be cream with gold dots, which is what the Mrs wanted, when they arrived they are light gray with dark gray dots. Still great quality, just not quite what I expected.

love these socks, they are warm and not bulky. They do, however shrink quite a bit when washed in cold water.

Would love to have these with some cushion

I cannot tolerate any sort of tightness on my foot or lower leg; therefore, I bought this sock because of the rolled top. And for those wondering, no, I do not have fat feet nor ankles. Unfortunately, I did not realize that there is a light elasticized band around the arch area of the sock. Before leaving this review, I looked again and did not see mention of an extra bit of elastic in the foot of sock. If this elasticized band was removed, I think I would have the perfect sock for Central Florida, year-round, everyday wear. By the way, my niece will enjoy these socks.

Ok sock, but feels like a unisex sock... has smartwool not figured out that women are different than men... a bit too tight for a 200 pound man... and these are XL...

Runs small. Much shorter than Smartwool socks that I already have.

I'm sitting here at a hockey game wishing these were warmer!! My toes are freezing! But they are cute and comfortable.

The wool feels rough, I can't judge until I used them(and washed them) a few more times. Off the bat, I'd say meh.

I purchased the ash colour and it's not as pictured. It's a lot more medium grey in reality but in the picture it looked more of a beige/cream or very light grey to me.

I have many Smartwool pieces I love this store, but this was the first time in years since buying smartwool that I have been disappointed. These ankle dot sock are not only tight but they are so incredibly thin ! Same size I always get ?? Anyway I'll wear them to the end ( heel hole I'm almost sure) Thank you for your time

I bought several socks for a hiking trip. On day 3 I pulled out these and put them on. Don't go hiking in these. My mistake.

I do not like frilly worn out cloth at the tops of my socks. Nowadays I guess some men can be manly with that, but not me.

I don't like the unfinished cuff of the sock. It doesn't look like the same quality I am use to in Smart Wool socks. I would return it and get the other ankle sock
