Because I knew Smartwool puts out a fine product and offers socks in women's large, I was hoping to find a Smartwool ankle sock design that didn't have a band at the top and would fit into dress shoes. These are it! I will buy more!

These are so strong and warm, yet thin! I have always thought I was allergic to wool in all its forms, but I have no reaction to these! Great!

I have a couple older Smartwool socks that are similar in style but have a looser fitting top on them. I thought these would be like that. The material is different too.

Would like more color choices

Smartwool offers this style in only two sizes: S-M and L-EXL. I prefer their sizing in a three-size format: S, M, and L. The medium size is perfect for me. Here, small is a little tight, and large is too big. But they are nice socks.

Use when I need comfortable and ability to keep dry, yet offering a subtle pattern and color in a wool sock.

I use these as everyday socks. The new socks are lighter weight so I like that better since I wear them during summer. These socks do run small.

These socks are so close to being perfect for me. I have slightly thick ankles and socks with a cuffed edge often leave a red uncomfortable dig mark by the end of the day, but these are comfy on my ankles. However, I do wish they were 1-2 inches taller, and also came in more colors! I want solid colors, lots of them, no design. With those 2 changes I would nearly bankrupt myself buying bulk quantities to last me a lifetime -- that's how much I love them and how close to perfect they are.

I just love giving these socks as gifts! Living in MN you just never know what the weather will. These socks are durable, cozy, and adorable. I highly recommend for any climate, activity or just chilling out.

These are a gift for my daughter in law. I have some and love them. I'm sure she will also. We like to hike!
