I've learned over the years that Smartwool socks are so much more durable compared to other socks on the market. They really last long, which is why they're worth the price. They also can be worn year-round because wool isn't just for winter! It's self-regulating or something. Solid-colored socks sometimes need a little extra, like cable! I also bought these cable socks in gray, and on my next Smartwool purchase, I'll be picking up the lavender cable, which were sold out at the time. These are the only socks I wear once the weather dips from fall to spring. My only complaint is that I would like more colour choices with the every day wear socks.

These are the best winter socks. Good for when you want to look a little more dressy. Not thick but keep your feet warm. And, the heels no longer get holey before their time. I buy a few every year. Too bad LLBean doesn't include them in their % off promotions.
