I use these socks under my drysuit while SCUBA diving. The waters of the Pacific Northwest are very cold at depth and these socks kept my toes warm even after 45 minutes.

I just had my first day skiing in the ski targeted socks. I love the tight fit and classic detailing. The socks come up just below my knee, which is exactly what I like - well above the boot cuff. They paired perfectly with the Smartwool base layer 3/4 bottom. The cushion over the balls of feet and shin is subtle, so no issues with seams in stiff ski boots.

I usually purchase and wear Alpaca socks year-round, all types, mostly 1/4 ankle socks. However, these are great SKI socks and thinner than the Alpaca ski socks I recently purchased and tried and just as warm and comfortable, in face I prefer these ski socks over my Alpaca ski socks.

All Smartwool merino wool products are the gold standard for skiing or just keeping warm in cold climates. These socks have just a little cushioning so they are still thin, which is critical in ski boots. Also the base layers are the only ones I use. Great company, great products.

My feet go numb when skiing in freezing temperatures. These socks have made it possible for me to stay warm from my ankles to my toes.

I have new boots and trying several socks to find perfect fit. These worked well on 1st outing.

Sorry Smartwool...I have been wearing your ski socks for many many years. And now I am disappointed ... yes, I bought a Targeted cushion. But I find your cushion is NOT what it used to be. They are no longer padded up like they used to be. And all these people that think a thin ski boot sock is the way to go...NOT ME !! Especially on very cold weather days. I like thickness for extra foot protection in my inner-boot. I know what I am talking about. Have skied far more than any of you designing at Smartwool !!! Or, talk to your factory managers !!! The socks have changed !!! Not good.
