I own lots of boots, Work, Hiking and every day use boots. As this hiker goes the fit is a bit roomy, I use thick hiking socks with them. The insulation is fairly minimal, but the boot is warmer than a non-lined leather boot. They could use a bit more padding in the heel and ankle area, it could rub hot spots on some folks. I have had some issues with keeping the boots snugly laced up, I might try a waxed or para-cord lace and see if that improves. I am not unhappy I purchased the boot, but they could be better with some tweaking and looking at other brands who have really mastered hiking boots. I think with this footbed on this boot, there is potential with some tweaks to make it a desirable boot, especially in cooler and wetter climates where a lightly insulated/waterproof hiker is a part of most peoples wardrobe. But it needs tweaks to be my main boot for sure, make some tweaks and this sucker moves up in my rotation!
for reference I own Asolo, Oboz, Merrell, Wolverine 1000 mile, Frye, Allen Edmonds Boots and more.

Not insulated at all. Reading the site descripion one can get an idea that theese are warm and insulated for the winter. NOT the case. NO insulation. Spring and early fall only.

I would have to say they look good. More of an out on the town boot in nice jeans or Dockers. Definitely not a hiking boot, they wouldn't hold up. The ankle cuff doesn't get a good grip around the ankle and the toe box is spacious even after tightening up the laces. This boot is handsome for sure but it's misleading to expect an adventure boot.

I'm Asian and I consider myself to have narrow feet. But 10.5 fits way too tight for me. The length is perfect but the width is just too tight. Also the tongue feels a bit too much when it's connected to the upper. Wish the tongue had less material so that it doesn't stick inside the boots as much.

Would not recommend these boots for hiking. They tore into my ankles really badly and I was in pain the whole
hike. Haven't worn them since and I'm disappointed that I spent so much on them. Definitely recommend getting a pair of real hiking boots.

Bigger than stated size--rubs blisters on inside. Even with thick socks, there is still a problem. Would not buy again.

I have several pair of Cole Hann products in size 12 but these seem really wide in the toe area and I don't see myself wearing these.

The loops at the back of the heel are an awful design choice. Shoe bites in a couple of minutes of wearing these.

I like the look of the boot and the waterproof definitely worked I got them entirely wet and they were dry within minutes. However they are heavy feels like you're carrying 10 pound weights on each foot when you hike not the most comfortable fit either it scraped my foot causing skin irritation and bleeding

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)

I tried these because everyone in the reviews talked about how they were too wide, since I am always looking for truly wide shoes. They were nowhere close to too wide. If anything, they run small and the toe box is too narrow, which was so disappointing after all the “too wide” reviews. Also, they did not come with any laces. (No idea if this was a mistake or they really don’t come with laces, the latter of which would be quite odd on a $220 pair of shoes.)

There is clearly something wrong with the heel part of the boot. It rubs up against the heel creating a blister

Tongue of shoe is folded and does not lay correctly. NEVER buy their close out shoes as now we have no way to use a poorly made boot!!

I won't be wearing these because they're too large. I can't return or exchange them so I will have to throw them away. Somebody somewhere put their skill into stitching these. Well, you're paid. whatever. anthropologists will find them in 22 years and date them to the wrong period. We're all just working so smoothly together.

Shoes look like beautiful hiking boots, boots that you want to buy. However, you will be disappointed because as hiking boots these shoes fail. A foam sole is all that serves the function. There is no padding anywhere - just navy blue suede and light blue non-suede (a thin fabric). There are hundreds of hiking boots manufacturers, and this boots are first I have ever seen without any protection, without any padding at all. These boots are also pressing on my large toe - the front of these boots should be wider in vertical & horizontal directions, it is too tight for comfort in my usual size 9. All beautiful look - and no substance. (My ZERGRAND running shoes are wonderful, and have ankle padding.)

Feels like they're made of paper and cardboard. The soles are OK but the uppers are very cheap materials. I forgot how much Cole Haan has gone down hill over the last couple of decades. I can't return becuase they were clearance...and now I see why.
