I don't write many reviews, but after an endless search for great walking shoes, I think I've found my favorites, and it's only fair to share! Unless I'm hiking (when I wear my hiking shoes), I've been wearing running shoes for walking for many years; however, as a previous runner, those shoes are NOT made for walking. That's probably why they're called "running" shoes. I walk several times a week for between 4 and 7 miles and have had multiple issues in running shoes with cramped toes, as well as knee and back issues. The Asics Gel-Venture 7 truly has made a huge difference for me, and I've had none of those issues! since I started wearing them! I did order them (as I always have with my athletic shoes) a half-size large than my regular shoes (7 instead of 6.5 medium for me), AND I actually tried the 7-wide, instead of the medium width I've ordered with athletic shoes in the past. The extra width makes a huge difference, and with the right lacing-up, they're not too wide at all! A plus is that these Asics walking shoes are actually stylish, whereas most walking shoes look like "old-lady" shoes (okay, I'm 67, but no woman at any age wants to wear old-lady shoes). Highly recommend these for walking. Great price, too! (Love Zappos, too.:))

I like this shoe! I’ve been wearing it on the trail and pavement. I feel support around the ankle. The shoe laces are short and hard to tighten but they don’t untie during use. It’s not the prettiest color or style but I look forward to buying more Venture styles. I have a wide foot and typically wear a size 7 1/2-8 but I went up to size to 8 1/2 for the toe room and 7 mile+ walks stretching.

I like the shoes very much fit and width true to size. I would like better arch support but they’re hard to find. The price was great. I order all my shoes from Zappos because I wear a 10.5 or 11. Best service ever!

Perfect fit, very comfortable, felt great from the first step, like I could wear them all day. Styling isn't the best, but, hey they're running shoes!

These are great sneakers. I'm replacing an older pair of Asics and these have great support. Very comfy and I love the bright pink sole - fun pop of color.

I bought a wide sized shoe and it fit my wide feet perfectly. Very comfortable with good arch support. Low cost for an excellent shoe.

These shoes are very comfortable and the cost is great. The only thing I didn’t particularly care about them is the color. It isn’t really gray. It’s more of a purplish color. I’m still very pleased with my purchase.

I like that I can always get a size ten and it fits like every other 10 I've ever ordered.

These are some of my favorite shoes for running, and powerwalking. They do not (not) have as much spring as some of my other running shoes, but still a great pair of shoes! I would 100% recommend them.

I was recommended to Asics from a coworker who runs. I work in the lab at a hospital and am always on my feet. I recently injured my peroneal tendons and after a visit to the doctor, I found out I have high arches and underprotanating feet! I can feel the support in my aches and the outside of my soles immediately after I tried them on. The shoes fit true to size and feel nice and snug/light compression. Not to mention I RECEIVED MY ORDER IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Wow, great job Zappos!

These were purchased to fit a boy with size 5-1/2 or 6 boys and wide, and they fit great. We couldn’t find wide running shoes as comfortable as these.

I ordered this show in 2 colors in my usual size - 10M. One pair fit find, and the black/orange in 10M seemed too tight or narrow on my left foot, so I ordered a 10 wide instead. The 10 wide, while slightly roomy in the ball of the foot, is comfortable and fits better than the medium. So, I kept the wide, even though I usually don't wear a wide. I like the shoe for my daily 2-4 mile walks. It's not extra cushiony, but is comfortable enough for long walks.

Lightweight, good running shoe.

Was in need of some new walking shoes. I thought the price was somewhat reasonable and the colors were fun, so I decided to give it a go. I've been on several walks and so far so good.

Love them 3rd pair I have bought.
