Felt tight; no arch support; not enough cushioning

Avoid at all costs. Even if you have bought this model before, do not buy these. They’re super big, the heel cup is gigantic and offers no stability. It confounds me why they keep changing this shoe. The least I could do is keep the sizing the same. I tried to get help from zappos to return, and they would not let me. I think I’m done with that Zappos forever now. Luckily, you can get the old version of these on target.

I was so disappointed in this ASICS shoe. No support. Toe box much narrower than other ASICS I have worn. When I removed the insole and replaced it with my orthotics, the shoe was way too tight! The first time I wore the shoes, my feet hurt when I took them off. I had worn them so I could not return.

I have the Contend 7 AmpliFoam and I love them so I got the new Contend 8 AmpliFoam but they are the Ortholite and they are just not the same. Even the quality feels cheap.

Ordered 8.5 wide before and love them but they are wearing out, causing me to walk in the side of my foot, which is weird! Bought another pair assuming they are just too worn out and they are smaller!! I actually lined up the bottoms and they are smaller. Crazy, when being wide shoes. If they fit, I’d recommend. At least Zappos makes it easy to return shoes. Sad as it’s hard for me to find good grip running shoes and these were nice.

The soles were non existent & my feet killed by the end of the day. Super disappointed

I wear a 7.5/8 and order an 8 in these. These are my go-to athletic shoes. I have ordered this line of shoes for years.

Very good fit and comfortable. Sneakers can be difficult to find a good fit but these did not disappoint.

True to size, the wide fit is great for a wider toe box. Just enough support but not disruptive to the run. These are a solid trainer if you're on a budget.

`Nice shoe but too snug. Happily I found the same shoe a half size larger and it is great.

I ordered 1/2 size up but then had to return to order a full size up. Other than that they are comfortable shoes

I usually wear Asics Gel Excite, but the latest style wasn’t working for me, so I tried these Asics Gel Contend and I like them as much as older versions of the Excite. Some may prefer more cushioning but I am not a runner, I wear them to the gym for a variety of exercises and am very happy with them. They have good room in the toe box.
