Great shoe, cushioning isn't firm but also not super squishy. It's very fast and comfortable.

For context I'm a bilateral below knee amputee (line of duty) and I NEED stability and very good ground feel. I've found it with these shoes. Incredible ground feel and balance. For anyone regardless of ability, you'll want to keep turning over the Km's with these shoes

My experience after 1 week of running in these shoes has been excellent. These shoes are light and fast. Compared to my ASICS Novablast 3's the Magic Speed 2's are firmer, with great toe-off speed and stability but still very comfortable. I generally run a 8:30 mile pace for runs less than 5 miles but found myself pacing at 7:40. As a fun runner these will be great for occasional speed training and for race day.

I've been very happy with this shoe for tempo and interval runs. Light weight and just enough cushioning.

Firm and snappy! Excels at the shorter distances but can go up to the marathon with the right runner.

Used it 3 days ago and it feels very light and responsive. Compared to the magic speed 1, there isn't that much of a difference other than the outer design. You can really feel the carbon plate while doing up tempo runs. Feels like I'm running even more faster! Overall great shoe. Let's see how is going to respond to my 5k and 10k races in the next days

Awesome shoe, on the stiffer side but in a good way. Had a long recovery run as my first run in these and was going at a nice smooth pace, felt totally natural. I wear these for everyday runs now changing between these and the Adios 7, and I love how supportive and fast these feel. Definitely looking forward to buying the Magic Speed 3 in the future. Fit true to size and are very breathable.

I have use them only for speed workouts. Excellent shoes, comfortable, responsive, also explosive if you keep slow and want to push to max speed suddenly. Looks smaller but fit perfectly. I will never use them to run slow, the amazing cushion only works when you go fast. The heel feels good when you are doing the workout but not during the recovery, I think is the 7 or 8 mm, flatter than more of my speedy shoes. I am sure these shoes will work for a fast 5k to a fast Half in addition to intervals. Too heavy for a marathon in my opinion. Also they are very durable, the grip keeps the same power at least the first 50 miles. Perfect for 300 miles minimum

I have been on a search for the replacement of my favorite shoe: Nike Zoom Fly 5. The biggest downside of that shoe was its weight. The Magic Speed 2 is an excellent alternative to that shoe. This shoe is extremely stable without it being a stability shoe. It is balanced and has the right amount of softness. It is light and extremely cruisy. It is moderately snappy. If you want to pick up the pace, it responds well. It also has a fantastic outsole grip. Heavier runners (175-200 lbs.+) would like this shoe because of how stable it is and can take advantage of the moderately snappy plate. This shoe feels like the MetaSpeed Edge+ but a firmer foam, snappy, but more stable. If you have a rolling stride, you'll like this shoe. Great if you are cadence runner.

Got these shoes to try to get into running again. I have a fairly large bone spur in my left heel from overtraining in karate on hard dojo floors so I have not been able to run for about 5 years. I figured I would give it a shot again with these shoes because of the shape of the sole. I thought I would land much more forward on my foot and spare my heel and the pain. They actually work. I've completed 8 miles of running this week with no pain. It is amazing! Thank you ASICS! I had previously tried about 10 different pairs of shoes and a zillion inserts, pads, chushions, etc. Nothing worked until these!

These are great neutral trainers and racers. Light and form fitting upper, easy to get good lockdown with the laces, feels like a shoe you want to go fast in. Toe box is plenty roomy and fits well. The forward propulsion from the plate and rocker is very apparent and awesome, I find these shoes to help me run downhill with less perceived effort versus shoes without a plate. It really is a funny feeling, the shoe provides a great pop when hitting those downhills hard. I've run two half marathons in these and these are perfect for that distance. You could easily run marathon distance in these as well. They are cushioned, but not mushy, and encourage you to keep the pace up. That being said I've taken these out on easy recovery days and they perform just as well as when racing. No issue with slower paces feeling awkward with the plate in there.

I really liked the 1st version of the Magic Speeds, and the updates make this shoe only better. Still the responsive ride, but with a better upper. The previous model would dig into my achilles, but now there's a nice soft fabric there. Looking forward to workouts in these!

An excellent, versatile shoe that is perfect for tempo and base runs; it also has enough going on that it can lend itself to interval and speed sessions as well. It is a viable option for some short to middle distance races as well (5k, 10k, 12k, 10 mile, etc.). A great improvement on the original Magic Speed, which ran a firmer and without quite as much cushion, these shoes are also a great value for carbon plated performers.
