Perfect amount of cushion and arch support. I can always count on Asics for a consistent feel from shoe to shoe - as well as consistent sizing. I have purchased Asics exclusively for the last ten years and have never been disappointed with any of their products.

ASICS are my brand of choice Good for my feet, which is then good for my back. Love them.

I wanted a pair of GT- 1000s with a little more padding but could not find any in size 10 Extra Wide. So I ordered the first Asics in stock in my size and up came the GEL-CONTEND 8. THEY HAVE TURNED OUT TO be a comfortable shoe for walking the streets in our neighborhood. My wife thinks the Midnight Blue pairs well with Levi's. And the Extra Wide width prevents a Tailor's Bunion on outside of foot caused by too narrow of a shoe width from becoming painful. I have been walking comfortably in my neighborhood and taking longer hikes in the mountains of the Baja Penninsula in Asics shoes for more than 50 years.

These are great shoes for every day use. Extra wide fit is perfect for my fat feet.

They are the latest version of the same model I purchased a couple years before. This version is lighter but just as comfortable. I like the wider toe box even though it's a not "wide width". I will keep coming back.

They are comfortable and provide solid underfoot stability. The only caveat is I had to order a full size up. In the swooosh shoes or sketchys I wear a 10.5 wide, in Asics i wear a 11.5 super wide.

These were recommended by my doctor to solve my foot issues. I love them. By far the most comfy shoes I've worn in a long time. I hope they never change them.
