Its been a long time since I found a keen work boot that fit like the wanatchie, and this boot is it! I hope that you dont discontinue it like the other one, this boot is comfortable and if anyone is looking for a good boot this is it hands down. My feet thank you! They run small I normally wear a 11-D. But I had to get these in an 11.5-wide because I have custom inserts. Thanks for a great boot

Great boots. I have purchased them in the past. However, the boots were damaged during shipment.

Keen suggests to go up half a size from your usual size because their boots run small so I ordered an 11 1/2 (I wear an 11 in nike, vans, converse, doc martens). I ended up having to return them because they were so big and ordered an 11, which also was too big. I had tor return them again to get a 10 1/2 that actually fit. I'm not sure if all the brands I listed happen to run smaller than keen, but I would highly suggest measuring your toe-to-heel length and looking at the keen sizing chart before ordering. The boot itself is great, it has a wide toebox but the rest of the shoe is snug and isn't all that limiting even though it's 8".

After breaking in the insulation during gaffing training (only 2 days tbh. That's amazing!) these boots feel like my usual shoes. I can most likely breakdance in these boots if I wanted too as they are very light for a heavy duty boot and as comfy as a running shoe. I will be purchasing the non insulated version soon. Pay attention to your size. The size for me said size 13 is like a 14.5. for boots so I ordered the 13 and trusted the process. I usually order a sized 14 boot as I'm normally in a sized 13 shoe.

The high top boots are very good for the snow but the ankle support was a hard mesh so the feet hurt when wearing them for a long period of time. The sides get overused walking in them

These boots fit my wide feet very well right out of the box. The insulation is very good, and will certainly keep my feet warm in snow and cold temperatures.
My complaint is with the 4 pairs of lacing hooks. They have a slot for the laces that is very thin, so that it takes 2 hands to get the lace in: one hand is needed to press the lace into the slot so that it will actually press into the slot, while the other pulls the lace in. Once the lace is in, it will not slide through, so I can't tighten the upper laces further. This feels tedious, and is not getting better with practice.
I don't understand why the lacing hooks are not made with a wide enough slot for the lace to slide into easily--like all other lacing hooks I have used.
I attempted to use a screwdriver to bend one hook open, and broke off the top half--it is cast metal, rather than bent metal. Now that is a nuisance as well.
I plan to keep these boots, because good fit is the paramount requirement for me, but I will be looking for some thinner laces that will fit in the lacing hooks.

So I opened up the box eager with anticipation and I'm sinching down on my laces and the hardware popped off. I sat there in disbelief for what seemed like an eternity until I was able to start the return process.

Too small. I have had 3 different pair of keen 11 & 1/2 wide. These in a 12 wide are too small. My first pair of American made Keens, seems like itll be my last

Boot looks great, its comfortable and warm until I start walking in them. The heel guard cuts up my ankles. I never had this problem with any other boot. I've worn the boots for a season of work as a plant operator and also took them on a few hikes thinking maybe it would start to fit better but nothing changes. Every time I wear these I end up with cuts on my ankles from the heel guard. Not really sure how to fix this issue.

After getting the wrong size sent to me, I finally got my boots but the eyelets were so tight I couldn't get the laces through them. When I tried to spread one open a little it broke! They are just cast metal with no give. I did get a new pair but these are the same. What gives? I like keens footwear but not happy about this.

The carbon fiber toe, cuff height, insulation, waterproofing and tread are the reasons why I purchased this boot. Specifically for use when managing trees (felling, splitting, stacking, etc). I quickly tired on the boots, they were roomy, comfortable, with good arch support and very light. After my first day of use as I'm removing the boots I noticed an issue. One of the metal lace hooks had broken? There was enough metal left intact so the laces stayed tied, but I didn't notice until after the boots were off my feet. Assuming it was a fluke because the other lacehooks seemed fine, and the issue is manageable, just need to be careful when lacing the one boot not to snag on the metal. Other than that, I really like the boots and have worn them several times. Not sure if a redesign of adding flat metal reinforced lace holes would have resolved this issue or not, but not planning on letting this impact their use.

From all indications, these seem to be another very well made keen product. Currently, I have a little love-hate relationship with the lace hooks, as they seem to clamp your laces in place as you hook them through the clasp. They are a little more challenging to get your laces, hooked and unhooked, but do a great job of holding them in place while wearing the boot. In all fairness, I am still in the break in period of the boots and they will probably start to function a little more like Im used to the more I wear them.
The boots were comfortable right out of the box although a little stiff, but that is to be expected.
To this point I have never had an insulated boot that have consistently kept my feet warm. I can spend hours with minimal movement on cold, hard ground and I think my feet sweat at the beginning and eventually the cold transfers through any boot, even the ones rated for 40 below zero, and my toes get cold. These boots do as good a job as the better boots I have owned ever have. I will say that when I am consistently active I do not notice my feet as being cold.
As always, their customer service department is extremely helpful and they honor their guarantees. These boots were a replacement for a boot that separated at the sole after nine months of heavy use. They honored the warranty without question and that is definitely the best I can ask for. These boots are just one of six pairs of various different style, boots, shoes, and sandals that I own of Keen products, I like their products and customer service that much.
