These are the most comfortable everyday use shorts you'll find. I wear them all the time. It's definitely worth grabbing multiple pairs.

These are my favorite pants to wear. I've been complimented on them a couple of times, which isn't normal for me. Light, breathable, and comfortable. I like them so much a bought a different pair in a different color.

I've only worn them for a few days. The fit is good and I'm happy with them. The only issue was the length. I got them hemmed by a tailor and that resolved the issue.

I work in a kitchen and the evolution pant is by far the most lightweight and breathable pant I have ever worn to work. Beats any pant specifically designed for kitchen use that I have tried. I'm buying another pair for casual use as well.

As with all Western rise gear the quality is high. The fabric is perfect for warmer climates to help wick moisture away.

These shorts are the ones I find myself wearing most days in the summer. They are incredibly light and breathable, which makes them perfect for 95+ degree weather. I wish they came in a size 33, but the size 34 works well with the drawstring. I own Outlier New Way Shorts and Woodies shorts, both of which are incredible in their own way, but I find myself choosing to wear the Evolution shorts over both of these on a regular basis.

I ordered these hoping they were as great as they actually are. I'm impressed, and I'm about ready to order a couple more pair.

I have been on a chinos tear. I am up to 7 purchased trying to find the right brands. Western Rise is currently my favorite competing with my Kuhls from 3 years ago which is the last time I did this. Great fit, very light weight and versatile. I highly recommend

This short is great for summer travel. Comfortable behind the wheel for the roadtrip; dressy enough to wear without looking like you finished a workout; yet versatile enough you could wear it for a workout. The fabric texture and non-reflective qualities make it appear non-tech, but it has all the other positive qualities of tech fabrics. I needed to size up with the even sizing. In WR pants I'm a 33 waist; but with the shorts I need a 34. A 32 would be too tight.

Pros: can be used as your "one short". Have used them for hiking in light rain and for hanging out at a bar.
Cons: for those with athletic thighs the leg opening is a bit tighter.

You won't need a different pair of shorts except maybe to buy them in every color. Fit, style, quality are great!

Fit perfectly. Very light and comfortable with a great fabric. Can be used for any location be it out on the town, beach and swimming, they dry fast. I plan to take them on my next travel. Only shorts you need.
Great customer service, too.

I bought two pair of the Evolution Pant: navy and shadow because I was looking for a pair of pants that I can wear on casual days in my office and for a slightly more dressy look than jeans when not in the office. I'm 5'10" 178 pounds and have worn a 33 waist for as long as I can remember. The Evolution waist is a dead-on 33. Not too big or too small. (The waist really does not stretch like the rest of the pants.)
The navy color is exactly as you can imagine. The shadow was too green for me (greener than the photos) and I could not pair it with many shirts so I exchanged it for a pair of khaki that go with almost everything.
The pants have a slight give and do a really good job of draping. They stretch just enough to make things comfortable. They are very lightweight and are absolutely perfect for warm and humid days if you can't wear shorts. The Evolution pants are probably not a good pick for winter in the Midwest but I have not tried them out in sub-40 degree temperatures to opine further about this.
The pants have a gusset in the crotch and I never thought this was important. However, the crotch is exactly how I want it - not too saggy and definitely not too tight. They just nailed it.
I never thought I would care about a phone pocket in a pair of pants. But let me say that the phone pocket in these pants is fantastic. Just enough room for my iPhone, but more importantly, my phone doesn't bounce when I walk. Again, they just nailed it. I don't have any idea why other companies make that little fifth pocket instead of a phone pocket like these pants have.
It's true that the Evolution pants don't seem to wrinkle. However, after wearing them about four times without washing I could see some creases along the crotch - not much, but just enough to tell me it's time to wash them. I don't wear these for hiking, but as a pair of casual pants I can easily wear them four times in between washing.
I really have only one criticism (aside from the shadow being too green for me) which is that they only come in 32" length. So unless you are a perfect 32 length you will either need to get these hemmed or roll them up. Rolling up is not for me so I had them hemmed by a really good tailor and they fit as good as any pair of pants I have ever owned.
I initially thought that these pants were somewhat on the expensive side, but try to find a pair of jeans, for example, at Nordstrom for less than $200. The fact that I can wear the Evolution pants to my office, at a nice restaurant or just knocking around make them well worth the price. I'm glad I took a chance and bought these. Western Rise has a really easy return/exchange policy so you really have nothing to lose by checking these out. Nope - I don't work for WR. Just like the pants.

Pants are great. When I placed the order I misjudged my size and the pants came slightly on the small size. The exchange was easy, fast and the customer service was fantastic. Would highly recommend without any reservation.

Love them. Initially ordered a 32, but went back and got a 30 (I typically wear a 30 anyway). Very comfortable, light, and breathable. Will be my go to pants for everything.

These pants are exactly what I was looking for. The fabric is light and breathable and great for hiking in the mountains. The fabric has just the right amount of stretch - the pants never restrict motion but the fabric also feels like "normal pants". The cut and style also make them versatile -- they look and perform great for a day in the city or on the mountain. I just bought a second pair.
